Well, whoever's reponsible for that Hedges photo runs Nomad Land Hedges' Official Site and put it up on the front page.

is that any better? You know Cail there are some incredible artists out there without much soul like this guy and Joe Satriani--but they're still incredible. **sorry I'm not including Estaban in that mix

**

Ok, I'm double posting since Cail has made me so mad! I have 19 CDs by this guy, and yes that is his Dad.

He is German/Japanese decent and lives in Santa Fe and if you tell me he has no soul I'll break my vow of

It's my chipper/shredder and I'll mulch who I want to.
Danlo, I wasn't really dissing Michael Hedges. He's an excellent technical player.

That's tellin' em, Cail!
What Sarge said about the guitarist missing 3 fingers on his picking hand made me think of this banjo player, Barry Abernathy:
www.mountainheart.com/bio.cfm?bbio=5
Barry Abernathy, winner of 1997's Banjo Player of the Year award from the Society for the Preservation of Blue Grass Music in America, began his career performing bluegrass gospel with Silver Creek, but first came to national attention as a member of one of the decade's hottest bluegrass bands, IIIrd Tyme Out. From 1994 to 1998, the Georgia-born banjo player/lead vocalist was a featured member of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, recording five albums with the award-winning ensemble. His heartfelt and earthy vocal tones are in perfect compliment to Gulley's soaring tenor lines and his banjo playing defies logic, considering he has no fingers on his left hand. Barry's on-stage demeanor is one of the cornerstones for Mountain Heart's exciting live performances.
Abernathy has only a thumb on his left hand. If you ever get a chance to see this guy play, don't miss it.

So...Who's the guy with the beer?
