I could have sworn that Vector and Pup went together to get parts for the repair of the gap drive. Vector wanted to keep Ciro with him because he knew what Nick was up to (ie. wanted to get rid of them all).

That is correct, StevieG; Nick had no orders for Pup (which is why I said this question is "tricky"), because Vector told Pup to come along with him after receiving he (Vector) Nick's orders. Good job; take command of the game!
