It will happen. I suggest this is a good time for the people who feel urgency to contact Edge.

If Edge is no longer available, is he absolutely needed to finish the project?

I don't think he's unavailable, he repeats that he wants to do it. He is distracted by desperately trying to make a living. Maybe contact from other Anthology authors would distract him in the opposite direction. Remember he said he wants this on his resume -- it's a good thing for his career.

If I tried the layout, it wouldn't be a professional thing. I don't have that kind of training. I would just be trying to match what I see in books.

Well then he needs to do it. At this stage I think we really need to find someone else soon.

So other people tell him. He doesn't feel motivated by my reminders.

Good idea Joy - moaning here for another ten pages isn't going to get much done.

Go easy on him though evryone. I know we've all had times (sometimes very long times) when real life has turned to shit on us, so I'm sure we can understand. :D

I agree. This project has been going on for far, far too long. We had all the entries a YEAR ago, all that needs to be done is to put them together into one PDF and get a cover image made. This should be the easy part. I haven't been involved with the anthology since appointing the selection committee, because at that point it looked like everything was set and running smoothly. What's going on people?

The formatting of the manuscript is fairly simple. Cafepress has a template available for download that you can paste in your doc and it will be mostly resized and the pages formatted to fit. After that there is some cleanup work that needs to be done but its not too involved. What we need from somebody is cover, side binding and back cover art.

Thanks for the URL, Tom. The pm function isn't working right now, so will have to make this a public message.

Well said Vs. I'm sure everybody realises that work to put food on your table must take priority.

Your understanding is appreciated, VS and Avatar. I'm not even sure he can receive email right now.

I have the directions to the layout template, now it's just a matter of finding a time when I'm rested enough to learn how to use it. Oh, and the time to do the work.

Oh most definately. A roof over one's head and food on the table are very important things. :)

Actually, that is a town in Livingston county Michigan, just to the north of the county I live in. While we have had snow showers the last couple of days, we also have some early spring flowers blooming, so Hell is not actually frozen over at the moment.

Edge got a rush job the day before he had scheduled to spend the weekend on the anthology. :?

Yep, it aint happening. Unless someone else is keen to work on the title. I understand Edge's position, but I'm tiring of waiting.
