Great forum everybody, just discovered it.
My interest has been rekindled from the 80's as my son has started to read all my old books, (some first editions).
I've also got all SRD's books on my kindle, but wanted the original Fontana covers for them. Not a problem for the first 6 books (7 if you include Gilden-Fire), but the Last Chrons left me scratching my bald patch!!
Therefore I decided to put one together myself for the last book Against All Things, which can be found here kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/album_cat.php?cat_id=18
The first two book covers of the Last Chrons are by somebody else.
I loved those first UK covers and can now enjoy them on my Kindle too.

How old is your son, that he is discovering your old books. My son first read about the Land for himself when he was ten. He's now 18 and has been a member of this site for several years.

It's always great looking forward to hearing questions and ideas from people who just got back into The Land after so many years. Please post your thoughts in the book related threads
Oh, and consider reading the Disecction threads through your re-reads, they really add to your experience, and very carefully structured posts to avoid spoiling things that come later.

Welcome to the Watch. What a great idea. Those have always been my favourite covers. My copies of the first 2 chrons, (except for WGW) have those covers, and I've always thought they were the best.

Welcome - and I'm absolutely with you on the covers - those Fontana ones were what probably made me buy the books in the first place (I'm so shallow!)
Wouldn't it be great if the Last Chronicles were released with 1980s style covers - the ones released in the UK are so dull!

You know when you go hiking, how it's a good idea to leave a Trip Intention Form at the Park Rangers Office so Search & Rescue know where to look if you get eaten by a bear? Well, similar logic has convinced me to make an appearance in this official place of introductions.
I arrived at the Watch about five days ago and with a small amount of water and insufficient supplies, wandered ignorantly into The Library, The Multifariam and Hile Troy's Think-Tank. I thought I would be out in time to vacuum the cat and feed the floors. I was wrong. I feel both humbled and enormously grateful to have escaped with a mild case of delirium and all my teeth.
Lesson learnt, I hope that by coming here and formally introducing myself - Hello, I'm SDS, what a lovely place you have - wiser more-experienced Watchers can keep an eye on me and ensure I don't go under again.
Failing that, can someone please tell Mum if she comes looking that I'm in the Land of General Fantasy, somewhere on the Plains of What are you reading right now? and that I should be home by Christmas.

Oh no! I hope it wasn't Sgt. Null that you thanked. His programming is not equipped to take that much encouragement. (He's an advanced spambot life form from the future sent back in time to assimilate us by desensitising us to copious amounts of text. I am convinced there is another layer to his programming- that some dadaesque messages are being transmitting, but I haven't figured out the pattern yet.)
