You are the aggressor in this war. You invaded the lands under our protection. We are simply defending the lives of our people, and that duty remains as long as you are within our lands.
This is your war, and it is yours to end.
Your cause is unjust. Withdraw your forces, and we will put this behind us.
Maeror, I think it uneccesary to say, but I trust you about as far as I can throw you. The fact that Vann has been decieved by your powers proves nothing.

This monopoly over the dead will be stopped, they will be given the peace they deserve. I will not stop untill they are free.

Adomorn, why do you willfully ignore half of what I say?

Justice has been served.
What crime did Quee commit to deserve annihilation Nor?

I choose to repsond to what I see as most important. Which side is in the right is up to interpratation. The fact that you mentioned my invading your lands are simply pity points. They are irrelevant.

They are given that peace now Adomorn. I believe that Maeror grants eternal paradise to all the dead, save those who hold a place in the heart of their chosen deity. Those special few are returned to their master or mistress to receive the reward set aside for them.

Speaking of which, I thank you Maeror for the return of the soul of my prophet Trolin.

An I believe that he will abuse his role as he has in the past. Belief is everything to us, mine just as valid as others. Maeror's included.

It is the victor that in the end, decides who was right.

Adomorn, your conditions are met and you have as much proof as I am capable of giving. What did you expect, a guided tour of the afterlife? That is a one way journey.

Give up your hold of death. Set an afterlife and leave it. Become the God of healing only.

Then I would know for true, that the souls of the dead are safe for enternity.

Adomorn, I might as easily ask you to abandon conquest, so that you may serve Justice unclouded.

We all have Hedra Iren to thank for that. Now that a Goddess of Law has been established, I can no more burn witches than Set them free, without Just cause.

There is no moderator for you. A troubling fact.

Troubling? What is troubling is that you can pursue this war and believe yourself justified.

As I said before, belief is all that truly matters.

It is the winners that decide who was in the right, and who was in the wrong, Maeror.

That is only true when the victor is all that survives. If you claim the right and pursue this war to its end, it is the witnesses who will judge you for it, in the end.

You have already discarded the word of our sister Norn. Will you hear from the rest of our brethren, or would you discard them also?

What your are describing is Mob Rule.

If the entire Pantheon decided that it was just to kill all first born daughters, it would make it neither Just nor Right. No matter what witnesses were present.

Mob rule is never right, unless you're drunk.

So you believe that the consensus vote of a jury is not a valid form of judgement?
Besides, that was not my meaning. I simply ask if you hold the opinion of your fellow gods in such low regard.

A jury is almost always a valid opinion. I misread what you meant.

I do hold the opinions of my fellow god and goddess in the upmost regard.

Are you suggesting that the outcome of our dissaggrement be decided by Pantheon vote?

I would need to consider such a proposal.

Adomorn, in the last year, I have had great fun going on:
-This turn, a very powerful abomination has risen in Shakari, and is wreaking havoc.
-Last turn, adventurers summoned fire-beasts while hunting a bear, setting Shakari aflame. For a bear hunt!!!
-The turn before that, Yek let the plague loose in my lands.
-The turn before that, meteorites devestated large parts of Shakari.
-Some unidentified creatures came to Magran nearly a year ago, and have been posing as my followers, slaughtering some of my actual followers. I have not had the Power to spare on this.
-And, of course, Jove will be having our baby. I must do what I can to protect it from Yek and the Womb.

All of this means that I have not been able to follow the problem between you and Maeror as closely as I would like. There is big trouble brewing between you, and I cannot even guess on whom the fault lies. But I beg you to back off. Can we not discuss this? My ignorance, combined with the fact that I have had very good dealings with both of you, makes me truly impartial in this matter. Can the two of you use me as a go-between, communicate through me, and see if we can find an answer?

In battle one survives by showing no mercy, for would your enemy show any to you?

I have already violated this basic rule, and offered quarter to Maeror. It will not be offered again. He is welcome to take my offer of leaving the dead to the afterlife, and taking a single stance on Healing, but untill then, he is a permanent threat to all dead.

I appreciate your offer Bhakti, and will always view you in the greatest light for the loving and level headed God that you are, but this will be resolved to the end between Maeror and myself.

To the very end.

Do you truly wish for the role of Death to be open to alll for the taking, Adomorn? I could not fathom the suffering that would come from such a course. Who do you think would claim the role if I left it? I am not the first to hold this place, after all. Death's ancient ruler lives on, and he is far less scrupulous than I.
