Pet Peeves:
-People who post melodramatic dribble that does not help anyone or accomplish anything.
-People who post "Goodbye" posts thinking that they are on the moral high ground.
-People who have many complants about a message board, but never, ever, actually contact the message board's administrator.
-People who post a series of baseless, unfair judgements.
-People who do not realize that administrators like myself are here for only one reason: to advance the well-being of the members of this message board community and to listen to anyone's problem, no matter what it is.
-People who do not realize that administrators are not psychic beings with mind-reading powers.
-People who do not realize that the administrators and the moderators are human beings, thus capable of fault, and volunteers, thus likely have a real life that sometimes gets in the way or messes with their state of mind or etc.
-People who do not realize that the administrators and the moderators, as well as every single person on this message board, are human beings, and do not, ever, deserve to be treated like crap.
-People who do not realize that Kevin's Watch is an effing message board. It is here for people to gather and discuss and talk and most importantly have fun. That is all. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I for one, will not delete your post.
Anyway, goodbye.

Sigh. I guess it was too much to expect that this wouldn't continue in this thread.
Good post, Jay.

Wow, I'm not sure what happened, but I think I'm glad I missed it.

I have a pet peeve that probably seems pretty trivial at this juncture, but as it's bothering me right now, I'll go ahead with it.
I have an ongoing unpleasant relationship with my ex husbands mother, who came by my house yesterday, for what were, of course unpleasant reasons. My peeve has to do with people who really have no business involving themselves in your life anymore, but seem to get on their huffy bike anytime they please, and tell you everything they suspect you're doing wrong.

I certainly sympathize, thefirst. In-laws can certainly be a struggle, and I can only imagine that ex-inlaws are more so.
However, I have to say..... "huffy bike"?

That is hysterical!

People who come into the room when you're watching TV, sit down, pick up the remote, and change the channel - without giving a moment's thought to the matter of whether you were actually interested in whatever you were watching. Get that a lot in this house.

Thanks MR, and CovJr, I know what you mean, almost as bad is people who walk into the room when you're watching something you really want to see, and stand directly in between you and the tv, and then don't even say anything to explain their intrusion.

Here's another TV-related one:
The advertisements are always like 20-25% louder than the programming.

People who push their religious beliefs in my face and condemn my lack of. Being an Atheist in The Bible Belt is hard work.

When people use 'like' when they speak.
"I went out last and like this guy came up to me like he had some issue, like you know . . and like I was so upset, and my friend was like 'wtf?!'.

WOW...you probebly wouldn't enjoy talking to me then.
My Pet Peeve is making my lunch in the morning.
It kind of grosses me out, making a sandwhich while I'm still half asleep...although, later in the day, when I'm starving...I kick myself for not making my lunch in the morning.

My current pet peeve is when someone doesn't even try to see things from your point of view.

I can cope with the occasional 'like', but it does irritate me when people use it all the time.

I hate computer issues! Apparently I got some bad ad/spyware that messed up my entire system. I had to run 2 different programs to get it off. It appears to be working now. . .
