Hi all. Although I found this forum awhile ago, I just joined today.

I 1st read Lord Foul's Bane in the mid to late 70's and was hooked from the first chapter. Waiting for later books was maddening :x Stephen's charactors were fresh and exciting, one could close one's eyes and get lost in the fantasy being created.

I have read to prolog to The Ruins of the Earth and I’m looking froward to reading the book.

Hi,

Noob here. I am just about to finish reading The One Tree and am looking forward to reading the rest of the SRD books. I am Just glad to have found this amazing community of people! I have just recently started reading SRD books. For me it was difficult getting into them at first. It was like nothing I have read before. Now I am hooked! I have read all JRRT books, which I enjoyed. Though I am partial to all Raymond E. Feist books. The Riftwar saga was the first set of fantasy books I read and have loved ever since. That said, I look forward to checking in here every so often to support this community.

The 24th Myth.

Hi, I am new here, and I have had the privelege of meeting the man himself. He played bridge with my father back when I was in high school, while he was still writing the second chronicles. He signed my copies of the first chronicles for me, which were already torn and tattered from too much reading. It was one of the happiest days of my life to that moment. Unfortunately, he hasn't been playing bridge much any more, so my dad hasn't seen him in a while, but he said he thought he might hear from him again soon...

Greetings to all.
New to the site, but not new to messageboards.
I was/am a member of a Tolkien site for the past 5 years.
I joined the Tolkien site before the movies were released, I watched all of the purist/revisionist debates. All I can say is, if they make The Chronicles into a movie, watch out. This place will be swarmed with new posters, and the debates will soar to new heights. The Movie forum will be inundated. I've seen it happen before.
Anyway, glad to be here.

Well, Albuquerque isn't exactly a small town, but it is possible that we have crossed paths at the Duke City Bridge Club. My Dad directs a lot of games there, though I have never learned to play.
