Well, there won't be a president of the United States when it happens. There will however be a president of the United Federation of Planets, I believe she will be from one of the Orion colonies. President Tanthar Rhoo.

This is good news indeed! Although I haven't actively participated in the forum for quite some time, I still drop by now and then to lurk, read discussions, and check the status of the anthology. So I take it this means the book will be published sometime in the 21st century??

yeah, I think we can safely say that. Now, it's time to find out just how many musicians we have here and start of that confounded "Anthology" cd.....

Okay. Here is the state of affairs as I know them regarding the Anthology. I have the manuscript. I have been editing and formating the text to properly fit the format for a standard paperback (5" x 8") as described by Cafepress. I am placing page spaces and formating so that the proper page appears on the proper side of the book as you read etc. Once this is completed the artwork can be placed into the cafepress book cover templates (we need to establish how many pages we're dealing with to determine how wide the spine template will be. Pages are running about 500 at this point). I expect that I may not get artwork for the spine so I'll create text and info for that once I get the finished cover art. After all of that is completed I believe we'll be turning over the pdf and the artwork to Jay to be added to his cafepress account / store. Then we'll all log on and start buying them. If the artwork can be delivered to me soon it may only be a matter of a week before the book is available for purchase. I need feedback from whoever is doing the art and from Jay about his role in this.

OK, so basically, all we need now is cover art. Who is doing that? Still Edge? He hasn't been around forever... yeah, he's talented, and I like the guy, and I appreciate that he may be busy... but none of that is going to help the cover art get finished.

We need to find someone else.

We're getting down to the wire now. We'll have a finished manuscript in the next day or so and I've already created a front and back cover for the Anthology. I've alerted Jay to prepare to recieve the info so that he can upload it to his cafepress store. Once that is done anyone can purchase the book. Hopefully it will all be done by this weekend or at least by monday. Wahoo! PS. the green rip off cover of the Power That Preserves was for grins only.

What happened to the title you guys voted on?
