Xar traveled to Rome for a week to celebrate his brother's graduation after landing in Heidelberg. I doubt we'll hear anything before he returns to HD.

heh.
That apparently happened too, before anyone else got to Manhattan.
*shakes head*
At least Halideva now had a choice.

Yeah, I told him in NYC. Partly so Hali would have a chance to join in. And it was too late for anything to mess with it at that point, anyway. But the main reason was so that he might be able to think about it a little bit before he started processing, and have a general idea how he was gonna handle it. Make this easy turn even easier.
Murrin, ten of us Manifested and went into the Mists. I don't know what anybody else said (or if any lunatics took the opportunity to attack the Allfather), but this is what Zephyr said:
Allfather,
I am Zephyr Bhakti, God of Forests. I speak for the pantheon of the Third Age of Eiran.
Yes, you know these things, but you are the Allfather, so a degree of formality and respect is appropriate. *gives Madadeva a stern look*
As you can see - as you can feel - Eiran is being destroyed. I don't speak of the battles between deities of this pantheon. Petty squabbles may cause different types of damage, but they do not threaten the world itself. The Bleeds, however, do. The reality of the Bleeds is being imposed onto the reality of Eiran. This power violates all laws of the world of Eiran.
Combined, we of the pantheon encompass many domains. Some to greater degree, some to lesser. And we possess different understandings, different wisdoms, different knowledge. We have learned little of the Bleeds' power, or how to stop it. We try, and, perhaps, slow things down to the smallest degree. But we cannot be sure of accomplishing anything. Eiran may well be entirely overwritten as we try to hold it together with our bare hands.
You, however encompass all domains; all of them to the absolute degree. And you possess all understanding, wisdom, and knowledge; all of them in all fullness. You have the ability to stop the Bleeds; to reverse the damage, restoring Eiran to its beauty and health.
And of much greater importance, you have the ability to seal Eiran from their power permanently. The World Breaker has used this power to violate Eiran in two Ages now. We are as helpless against it now as my parents were.
But you are not. Please, Allfather, stop this. Take whatever power you need from any and all of us. If more than power is required, whether as a matter of balance or as a sacrifice, all I have and all I am is offered. Strip me of my divinity. Strip me of my identity. Take my life. Entirely unmake me. Anything I can give to save my home I give gladly.
Obviously, we couldn't inform Bel of these plans, what with him actually
wanting Eiran's destruction. But have no fear, Bel was not forgotten. heh heh heh

Well ... since Fist has Shared ...
You have failed! And have fallen. The sadness is you may not even know it ... or why. But I have tasted your power. In my memory of the taste of your sentinel raven, I can now recall destruction and chaos! Can even you be immune to the Omega? I certainly know the infection of Chaos and Destruction. It has led to my form now. While you are more powerful than I was (or am), are even you immune to its touch? Perhaps between the ages, your exposure to the Omega has been undermining your commitment to your Creation. Making you ripe for madness! And Mox, a minor deity in the cosmic firmament, but a bearer of madness: a world builder you may be, but even the largest and most powerful can sometimes be infected but the most small. Perhaps madness now accelerates your taint.
Repair this world and then leave - or give your power to one or many who will repair it and then leave. Your creation no longer needs you, and in fact is harmed by your presence.
If you do not, you will face our combined might. I have grown fond of battles. Perhaps I have absorbed some of the desire of my friend uKulwa. WAR against you will be a delightful experience!!
...
What say you Creator of Eiran? What say you, failed overGod!!?

Just so everyone is aware, you have to wait a turn after manifesting to officially enter the mists. Unless Xar changed the rules inbetween when I went in and now

That would certainly be unfortunate.

But I wouldn't understand it. The Mists actually touch Halym, in the south, which is where we're manifesting. What's the problem? Manifest right at the edge, and take one giant step south. Mother may I?

Anaya didn't manifest...as such.

The Numen did. But they didn't go into the mists.

If we need to wait til next turn to enter - I vote that turn is due next Monday

Didn't Xar say ages and ages ago he wouldn't alow any more going into the mists and asking for help?

Probably. We might have just destroyed the world, eh? But it's worth a shot. After three of us had spent a few turns studying the Bleeds and trying things to stop them, we're still clueless and helpless. The world's gonna end anyway.

So we might as well confront the source of the problem ... the corrupted AllFather!!
I even asked my other-half Halideva to help me kick his ass!

I kinda hope Xar gives you exactly what you asked for, in the whole "monkey's paw" style: Removes your characters, removes the Bleeds, but does nothing about all the other problems you didn't specifically mention, like, you know, the Abyssal War.
(I dislike people resorting to deus ex machina and attempted game-breaking. Even if our GM is throwing problems at us that are impossible to fix.)

When the Deus (the AllFather) is a stated part of the puzzle, it's not inappropriate to try to invoke it.
And I certainly prefer the idea of doing one distasteful thing that can continue the game, over letting this turn into some lame-ass Kobayashi Maru scenario. Might as well get on the Ark, then.

I'd not recommend doing that. Could be... unpleasant.

If you're trying something, I sure hope you had your cards in play before this turn. Heh, or maybe I don't. I was really hoping someone would make an attempt on it. You a fan of Bruce Dickinson, by chance? The only thing that would be better is if more than one god tried.

No kidding, Mr. Cranky Pants. The Allfather set up the rules, put these doomsday devices and scenarios into the world, makes them unsolvable, and plays an actual role in the game. Calling on him for help is not deus ex machina. And we didn't try to overreach. Ten Manifested deities asking for one thing doesn't seem greedy. So which one thing?
1) If the denizens are stopped, we still have to deal with the Bleeds. Which are beyond us.
2) If the Bleeds are stopped, the denizens can be dealt with. We
can fight them. And they'll hit Bel's cities first, so who cares? We'll take care of them after. And if Eiran is sealed from the realm of the Bleeds, the Maw's Icewall will have only physical damage to deal with. Since the self-healing factor it already had was just strengthened by O-gon-cho, it shouldn't have a problem. So the denizens won't be endless.
It's a no-brainer.

Also, the delay was put in so that ONE god couldn't go into the mists and cause trouble without giving the Pantheon time to react.
With TEN gods going in you can reasonably assume 1) no one will complain [Mox said he was going into the Bleed - and he really doesn't want to piss us off

He is trying to make nice]; and 2) we have the collective power to kick anyones ass that tries to stop us!

You say "we", but you also asked to have him destroy you all to take the power to do it... Why do you assume he won't take your offer?
You also realise all the mass-organised efforts and working together are the reason Xar has to fill the game with so many outside threats, right?
Syl, I had nothing in place whatsoever before you told me you were launching this turn. And I have no intention of damaging the Ark...

The TWIG offered to give HIS power!!

If you look at Madadeva's note - it was an entirely different type of message!!
