Communication is a wonderful thing. Glad you were able to settle it peacefully.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. Wait for a misstep on her part and pounce. ;)

Sorus, also make you sure sneeze on the dish first before serving it.

Okay, I'm scaring myself as to how anti-social I'm becoming... :shifty:

Maybe tomorrow I need to go buy a teddy bear or something.

I think Auleliel was the one doing the serving, though my offer of a whack upside the head stands if the friend contacts another major case of foot-in-mouth disease.

Sorry about the dustup with your friend, Auleliel. I've been on the receiving end of that sort of treatment, too, in the past, and it's no fun. Good to hear you were able to talk about it, tho -- that's better than I would usually do. :)

Sea -- sorry about your computer. Wow.

To all the violence prone: Um, go punch a pillow? :?

Had a pretty good weekend. Stayed in my jammies and read all day yesterday. I'd been psychically wounded by the sabbatical suspension on Friday -- I thought I deserved a day in my jammies. Today, Mother's Day brunch, then book club. Tomorrow...back to work (bleah).

Yeah, I'm having *no* computer luck recently.

I've spent all of today so far redoing the work I lost (feck it! I HATE my job) and looks like I'll be doing that for the rest of the day and most of tomorrow. I won't get paid for that time so I'm peeved. I wish this job would go away! ...and all the money I earn this month will just go towards a new desktop. So, I'm not exactly motivated! :P

Pain. In. The. Hole!

Hugs to all that need them. |G

Thanks to everyone for the support. Usually I'm the negotiating sort, rather than the "going down fighting" sort, but it's nice to know I have backup if I ever need it. :)
(And don't go down too hard on my friend, she does have some redeeming qualities!)

Inventory:

No baby
No tea

The doc is speaking about induction, which we don't wanna do until we hit the 2 weeks overdue baby time. Today, he is 5 days late in coming. Nothing to panic about yet, especially since they checked him out yesterday and he is just fine. But annoying because the clock is ticking and the phone at home just keeps ringing.

I'm very happy, but seriously I feel like total crap, hope it's not swine flu, I need to take a nap.

I feel ok, if somewhat apathetic. I've got rid of all my essays and things, and I don't have an exam just yet, so I should feel relieved. I don't though. I still feel like I've got work I should be doing, out of habit. The combination of that sensation and the fact of the absence of such work leaves me feeling like I have no energy. Odd.

Poetry!

A new friend of mine (hopefully not a crap one this time) thought she had glandular fever, but the doctor says not. That leaves the question open. Of course, everyone is screaming swiiiiiine fluuuuuuu! *sigh*

It's especially sad when you see good, capable people getting the pink slip.

It's just as painful as seeing those that deserve to be let go "failing upward" into a promotion.

Yes, that's the other side of it. Haven't seen that happen (yet) at my workplace, but then I don't know everyone.
