Disagree. You could get an older design and a new one when they are released. It's more realistic and interesting that way - representing the fact that armies rarely have up-to-date equipment in their makeup.
I prefer the new model; never really liked the older version. Anyway, what Dorian said is spot on - the Eldar would maintain one design forever. So, in a sense, it is a reboot.

The new Eldar tanks are out in two weeks time - will pick up a Fire Prism and Deathspinner.

Thanks to montresor I just wasted over an hour that I could've been sleeping hunting th net for figures to make up the various characters.

Andrea is proving to be hardest to cater for. Garrius and Zarkov are easily done in massive Inquisitor scale, where as Melachi and Praetus are easily done in 28mm. Drak kung is easy no matter how you look at it. But finding a stately looking woman with bionic eyes is proving hard. I'm seriously beginning to think that I will have to do some serious conversion work to make her happen. Theres an Inquisitor figure that could nearly pull it off with some conversion work.

Found a Inquisitor figure that with the right paint job could very nearly be Du Preste too.

Any links to non GW websites that have miniatures, preferably in 28mm that would suit sent to my inbox would be appreciated :P

That's cool. Bonus XP for him too.

Send us the links for the minis which match the PCs.

If it helps, I'm considering having her start wearing a mask like this all the time. 'Cause I'm having a bitch of a time finding avatar pictures for her, too. Probably with a hood over her hair?

Maybe for now, hold off on the Andrea figure until I can decide what her long-term look is going to be. You'd cuss me out if I kept changing it on you halfway through the paint drying. And rightfully so.

Xenos races eh? Stryxis trader perhaps?

That's what I figure. Possibly even a Kroot mercenary. The big xenos races would just be under-done in a sourcebook like this, I think. I'd be very reluctant to allow them as player races.

According to a podcast (god, I hate that word), FFGs will be releasing rules for playing xenos in a book - but whether this will be the currently advertised one or another one is up for debate. I agree with Montresor that the major races - Orks and Eldar - deserve their own books. I'd kill for an Eldar book.

Wish I could buy Warhammer 2nd edition. Have an idea to run a short campaign where everyone plays Dark Elves - that is, running it with my tabletop group and not online.

Note to Andrea: do NOT piss off the woman with a standing army on hand.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Trying to sort some issues out with my health at the moment. Should be back to usual posting frequency now. Hopefully update VoB tonight too

Actually thats a good point. Is Garrius the only crew member who doesn't go around pissing everyone else off? His position could probably be more easily explained as "Rogue childminder" the that the crew have been going with their first shore leave :P

Drak-Kung behaves himself . . .

There are significant portions of the crew who might disagree with the statement that Garrius does NOT piss people off.

Haha! Rather true.

But the Significant number of people are mostly of an insignificant nature so it doesn't matter.

But an NPC has possibly pissed off far more important people in one swoop just now.

Oh, and this is an overdue comment, but Stone made a great Dynastic entry for Zarkov. Great reading.
