Well, after a good week or so of rain, looks like things are clearing up and temps set to climb again. Meh.

Tis the opposite here, storms again and rain means temps are falling again.

Im off to Melbourne next week and it will be hotter there I am sure.

Today wasn't bad for February. We're looking at another winter storm Tuesday night into Wednesday, though: several inches of snow are forecast, arriving early in the morning, topped off by sleet and freezing rain during the afternoon rush hour. Yay? :( I am debating whether to preemptively take a day of leave on Wednesday. Freezing rain is one of my least favorite forms of precipitation...

No more rain until next week, though we did have some good storms last week. People complaining about it as though they've already forgotten that half the state was on fire just a few months ago. Be nice if that didn't happen this year - bring on the rain.

It's miserable. It happens when the upper air is warm enough for rain, but close to the ground is cold enough for water to freeze. So it comes down as rain but turns to ice as soon as it lands -- on your car, on the sidewalk, on the grass... You have absolutely no defense against it. I can't tell you how many times I've landed on my butt thanks to freezing rain.

There was plenty of light this morning and a noisy bird was whistling in the treetops, where a day or two ago it was still dark and quiet.
This abrupt change in season had also happened last spring when the trees sprouted leaves over the very short span of a rainy weekend.

As if time itself were skipping a beat. Global warming, I guess.

Yeah, suddenly getting light a lot later here. :D Autumn on the way, even if it is still so damn hot.

39C for the start of Autumn on Saturday. But thankfully where I live, we get respite from the heat - 25C today and pleasant :D

It should cool down during March, and settle into Autumn.

It's been cold here this week. Tomorrow's supposed to be the coldest day of the week -- the high will be just above freezing. But 60 degrees F by Sunday -- when, heigh-ho, we switch to Daylight Time. :hairs:
