We have a statistics page with top posters, if that's what you mean. But we have been calling it the avatarboard since 1990.Wosbald wrote:Considering that this thread is about a (perceived) dearth in community vibrancy, I'm wondering why this forum doesn't seem to have a leaderboard.
I had never looked at that page before, and was really surprised to see that I'm on it as the 4th fastest poster...wayfriend wrote:We have a statistics page with top posters, if that's what you mean. We used to have a home page/welcome page where you first landed. It listed some active topics. It went by the big old by in the sky.Wosbald wrote:I mean a board listing the last 20 or so topics to which posts have been made.
Okay, yeah, I think I may have also heard it called that. It just seems like a good idea (though I imagine that a downside might be that some could feel their favorite sub-forums to be getting short shrift if they don't regularly appear on the welcome page).wayfriend wrote:We used to have a home page/welcome page where you first landed. No-no, that's the old ritual, when I felt sleepy for millenia, and you know one can't sleep with all those candles around and chalk for foulgrams screeching on the floor - now I have a wondeful new foe to devastate, so no millenia-long sleep wanted here, merely distracted. But for certain I'll come here from time to time to gather inspiration for evil plotting and perhaps even get some allies to bring him to well-deserved misery and ruination of all his plansFrostheart Grueburn wrote:One can light a smattering of lurid green noxious candles stinking of attar, draw a foulgram on the floor, and commence the ritual...
I had a bumper weekend too. Actually it was more like a bumper being ripped off by a dump truck weekend...Avatar wrote:I dunno yet, but we're having a bumper weekend.
