I keep trying to watch this show but the background music so overtakes the dialogue I can't understand anything. I've gotten to the point where I put the subtitles on.

I hadn't noticed that, but I always watch with closed captioning on.

A Woman! Actress Jodi Whittaker in fact, and good luck to her. Their will be tears no doubt, but as a fan of the old [pre-reboot] series' I have no problem with this; it seems a natural progression to me and I bet that within short order the initial shock will dissipate and she'll just blend into the role as have all the other Doctors.
Yeah Im looking forward to it!!! Loved Clara and really enjoyed Bill. The new doctor will be interesting. So will she have a male companion or a female?

Anyone watch the Xmas special? I have to say I loved it. The Xmas armistice scene was a tear-jerker. As was Peter Capaldi's regeneration scene.
I saw it once at home and once in the movie theatre.

I enjoyed it, though the plot doesn't hold up to scrutiny (when you wonder why the Testament couldn't just tell him at the start).

There's not much plot to speak of.
It's mostly a nostalgia fest.
Still enjoyable, though.

Wow, you must have an awesome movie theater. The ones 'round here don't do that sort of thing.

It was offered at many movie theatres, in many places:

Or it could just be that I live under a rock.

I started watching, then stuff happened. I'm still stuck on the Arachnids. Not sure when I'll have a chance to catch up.
