|G for my big Bro.

|G for Luci!

Glad you're feeling better Marv.

Um...oh...has Guns been around? Is your brother ok Guns?

I've had an average morning: At playgroup Son of Seareach kicked two kids in the shins and then 5 minutes later shoved one of his best girl mates over (really violently). Who knows what's wrong with him! Ever since he started going to kindergarten he's turned into a little sh*t! Oh well....

It's just me and SoS for the week as my partner is off doing fieldwork. WACKO! It's party time!!!

I think everyone needs a hug. . . but not everyone knows it yet. :D

As for me, I feel tired, and I going to go snuggle in my warm bed with my kitty. G'night! :ct12:

Well, the situation with my brother is not very good. The biopsy is scheduled for today, but it seems clear that he likely has a lemon-sized small cell cancer in the left hemisphere of his brain.

While the Drs are confident that they can get this particular mass to respond to radiation, the long term implications are rather dire. When things like this occur, the mortality rate is 60-70% wihin 5 years or so, unless he gets very VERY lucky.

Yes, it is a tough thing. For all of us in the personal and physical sense. Kim and I are already financially stressed, and this will not help. It is what it is though, right? I am rambling, however.

I am experiencing a nifty and not-so gentle mixture of rage, sadness, depression, angst, and numbness.

Not good.

One of those bizarre things....6 people I know relatively well were hanging out last night at one of their houses and the front porch collapsed. 2 are OK, 3 are in intensive care, and one is in shock trauma; it took the EMTs 30 minutes to get her out from under the debris.

Cail...

I heard about that on the news this morning....freaky. They know why the porch collapsed yet?

I've been scanning the news today and haven't heard anything new. I'm assuming that it was an older porch (given that it was in Brooklyn Park) and it just collapsed under the weight.

I didn't get the psychologist job at disability services. I found out twenty minutes ago. They are advertising again, but requiring the applicants have a driver's license. So it's likely I was refused because of my health situation.

*sigh*

|G Guns.

I have just come back from having my cat put to sleep. She was 12. I keep her inside at night but last night couldn't get her in. I found her this morning curled up and yowling near the front of the house. She had been mauled by a dog (my neighbour heard it around 6.30 this morning). 6 years ago she was also mauled and I spent over $1400 to get her fixed. She has over the years started to suffer arthritis from those injuries. Took her into the vet about two hours ago. The vet wasn't optimistic, and the charge just to get her stabilized and an xray done was going to be $300. We just can't afford that kind of money (especially since it was going to be the minimum), and I wasn't sure I really could put her through all the pain of recovery as well as any pain associated with long term permanent damage. ... :(

See ya Smudgie. :)
