*shrug*

How can anyone have seriously thought that this time of year was a good time to start?
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

an Carraig, as I read that it seems to me that all that asks is to hold off on banter in this thread until the 24th regardless of whether all reveals are in or not..... :?

Agreed, Xar allowed in game Banter to start by December 24th!

This was posted on the 22nd [BOLD is mine]
Xar wrote:Just in case - I'd really appreciate it if in-game banter began after all deities posted their Reveals, but I also understand that some might take some time doing so. So, if by monday some Reveal is still missing, you're free to start the banter in the game thread!
So we are legal!!

I think there was a hope that people would have them done around that time, but not an actual deadline, because it was known that some people would have trouble getting it done this time of year.

And I forgot to add my verdict to Dorian's suggestion - I can see that narrative posts would work in the Game Thread, so I'm not sure we need another thread for it. However, it wouldn't bother me if there was one.

All is fine, folks. Two Reveals to go. Banter has begun. Xar has not given any deadline, but I would be surprised if anybody had to start late.

Nah. He's said the turn starts as soon as all reveals are in--which means noone gets left out just because they didn't have the time. I've got no problem waiting.

Xar did say he'd be scarce over the holidays too - so I don't think there should be any pressure on those who have yet to reveal!

Is the game thread an actual game thread or a chat forum?

That's what I'm wondering . . .

No offence intended to my fellow players, but some of the nomenclature and terminology used seems counter-productive to the atmosphere (references to contemporary pop-culture, and to net terminology seem a little out of place). If people want to indulge in that, that's fine - but, if that's the case, I would definitely support Dorian's move to create a seperate thread for narrative posts.

Perhaps. The P2 segment I was involved with was more ... free spirited and unconstrained in our discourse ... while still role playing.

That said ... new players, new ideas. I will support the approach Xar chooses and that the majority want to move in.

I think it's just a little revving of the engines before the game really begins. ;)

Anybody who wants to demonstrate how a game thread should be used are welcome.
