Hey, I am Jhemtar in the guild and I have a semi-newbie question relating to Rogues.
I recently aquired "Ambush" from my Rogue trainer, and I can't seem to get it to work. I realize you need to be stealthed, and behind your target, and be using daggers.
I have all these, but it still won't seem to light up as an option.
Anybody have any insight?
Thanks

I thought we were done taking pics at that point, or I wouldn't have hit bear form. At any rate, sticking a paw through someone's chest is rather rude, so sorry about that, Irvea.
Welcome to the guild (and belated welcome to the Watch), Web Monkey! I have never played a rogue, sorry. Is that a skill that you need combo points to use?

OH MY GOD!!! i thought i would die laughing at the dwarf girls in their swimsuits!!! but...what was even FUNNIER was the comment that someone
on the channel made...something like... "if you are putting on this show
for a nerd with no girlfriend you must be in an even bigger boat,
farther out!!" LOL!!!

Okay, Scarlet Paladins have now taken the top spot as "most annoying mob in WoW".
(They run when weak; I cast my judgement that stops fleeing. They use Blessing of Protection and start running anyway; I stand and watch as they pull every bloody other Paladin in the area while they're still invulnerable. One of them casts Holy Light; I interrupt, but then one of the other ones starts casting it too and my stun hasn't recharged, and oh look now the one I'd almost killed has full health, and oh, the one who ran away and pulled these guys has healed himself and come back....)

Ugh. Wonder if they can resist Curse of Recklessness. Guess I'll find out soon.
And Fel Reavers had better watch their backs - I'm getting revenge as soon as I hit level 80!
[edit in] Okay, really hate Fel Reavers. Took a break from that and went to Nagrand to level Brisance (my new wolf) and farm some shadow motes in the bargain. Hadn't been there recently, and it seems as though they may have raised the drop rate a bit. I got three primals and a few spare motes, which is not shabby for an hour of grinding.

It wasn't that bad at first--I was working my way to the town hall in Hearthglen, and the ones outside pulled one at a time and didn't use Blessing of Protection, so they went down fairly easily; when I got to the hall, though, it all just went pear-shaped. The first two inside the door were a nuisance, but went down eventually; the next one bubbled and ran right into the leel 61 elite, who just happened to be wandering by. I took down the paladin while he was killing me, so I wouldn't have to do it all over again after ressing. Then in the main hall I pulled one Paladin and the level 60 (with a silver dragon on his icon), and for some reason I didn't focus on killing the Paladin first, so she kept healing the other guy--I got killed again. The next try, I pulled both Paladins and the 60, and I don't think I need to go into how bad fighting more than one of the paladins at a time is again.
As for whether the curse will work: my judgement worked when they didn't bubble, but when they did they seemed to completely ignore any effects on them.

Ouch. I guess I will find out soon. I do remember having some problems with them running and pulling their friends, but nothing catastrophic. Too bad you didn't get the rare spawn. I don't remember seeing one there before. (Hence 'rare', I guess.

Okay, I just realised: Blessing of Protection only protects from physical attacks. Casters probably don't find them anywhere near as annoying. (I'm used to my other bubble spells, which protect from everything, so I forgot about that little flaw in BoP.)

Hit 59, and doing some PvP before I level again. First time PvPing as a Warlock, and I am enjoying it quite a bit. I can kill rogues, and am not hampered by close-quarters combat. I can't take as much damage as I am used to, but fear is a lock's best friend.

I've beenspending quite a while now getting my arse kicked by Blazerunner in Un'Goro. It took me a few attempts to realise that his aura comes back every now and then after you dispel it, which meant I had to leave the totem equipped to keep using it (and miss out the more-than-half of my damage that comes from blocking). Then keeping my character sheet open to keep using the totem made it hard to tell what was going on (the numbers over my health and mana bar were particularly annoying when judging how close to dead I was), so I had to learn how to make a macro so I could spam the totem more easily. And I still couldn't kill the bastard. He only had about 5-10% health left when he killed me. It doesn't help that he gives off fire damage every few seconds when you just stand close to him.

Thanks. I ended up figuring it out. For some reason if I put the skill in the first row it is unusable. So I have put it in the second tier of actions/skills; then it works splendidly (and is by far my new favorite skill!). I guess I should reinstall my Add-On or something.

Hey guys: an account question.
I got one month free when I signed up and my big bro (Creator) paid for another two months of my access. That's up around June 14th. What happens to my account after that? If I intend to get another prepaid card and I don't do that before the 14th how long before my account details (my character) is deleted? Anyone know?

From the Blizzard support pages (emphasis mine):
If your subscription ends and there is no payment information listed on the account then it will become frozen and inaccessible for play. Provided that the characters do not get deleted by the account holder, we will retain all character information on our servers indefinitely.
You will still be able to access your account through the Account Management page. From there you can set up a new subscription for your account at any time, which will allow you to log into the game again and pick up right where you left off.
Edit:Hmm. I've just been given a Raid quest.
Also, is it just me, or do Minion's Scourgestones have a significantly
lower droprate than Invader's Scourgestones? I can collect a stack of Invader's stones to turn in in ten minutes. It's taken me 15 minutes of grinding to just get the three Minion's stones I needed to fill a stack.

You'll probably have to carry on without me till Tuesday. Later on this morning, I'm going to drive to the U.P. of Michigan, without, I think, net access.

Is it
Order Must Be Restored? When I was level 65, I went with a Warrior friend to check it out. The quest was green in our logs. It involved one level 62 elite (green) and two elite demon hounds of similar level (also green).
So, we thought about it for a few minutes. Three elites, sure, but they're Old World elites and they're green.
So we set our party of two to a raid party.
We flagged ourselves for PvP.
We had done some research, for example, we knew that we could not use any sort of healing items.
We did sort of ignore the very first line of the quest, which was:
"Assemble an army and travel to the Eastern Plaguelands."
It wasn't pretty.
Went back later with the guild, group of about 20. We took him out, but I wouldn't call it easy.
Of course, I think someone there
was healing, so we had to deal with all the skeletons he summons.

Sounds bad. Mine is "The Battle of Darrowshire"--have to relive the battle, keep two people alive up to certain points, then kill one of them when he turns evil. I expect it'll be more than just a few elites.
Speaking of summoning skeletons... Ferax and I tried to go through Sunken Temple last week, and I had the paladin quest to kil six trolls and collect feathers from them. The fourth troll summoned skeletons--even after he died, it seemed there were just more and more of them everywhere. We wiped pretty quickly.
At the minute, I'm a tiny bit of xp away from 60, and I've started hitting the battleground. Did enough questing in Hellfire Peninsula to get some pants and a new shield first. My first battle went well--no queue, the group on both sides was mostly mid-range with a few low levels (I think I was one of only three or four level 59s on the whole battleground). Did the usual tactic of just picking a flag and defending it--much easier than running around trying to work out where I need to be--and even killed a few on my own (and caused one death by stunning a druid who was trying to escape, heh). Alliance were in the lead for the whole battle. I have jsut over 500 honor now; haen't gone in for a second battle yet.

Hmm... wonder what would happen if you stood at the bottom of the stairs,
behind the mob of attackers. That might work better. Or it might be disastrous. It's all about learning experiences. And repair bills.
A fun round of AB, though the Horde probably thought otherwise.

Wow. Don't think I've ever seen that before. How'd you manage it?

Horde team started small, think it was 15/6 when the gates opened. We ran and grabbed all the bases FAST, then camped at the bottom of the hill by their starting hall.
Few of them got past us and tried to grab the Farm and Blacksmith, but we drove them back before their flag could take hold.
I was guarding the Lumber Mill most of the time, where there was almost no action. *sigh*
Been in quite a few five-caps, but that's only the fourth time I've seen a 2000/0 game. And I've done a LOT of AB.
