Haha, EL! So that's what you were talking about! I applaud you, sir, for taking on they-who-have-the-gall-to-put-Science-in-the-name-of-their-cult.

I'm almost hoping the cops were there to arrest them, but...I take it they were really there to keep you and the other protesters in line?

Fabulous shots, Chrysalis! Sunset Lake is especially wonderful.

And yes, love the gorgeous fall colours, Wyl. :)

You are correct about the frozen stream being NZ. It was taken on the South Island either in Franz Josef or Millford Sounds.

Yeah, I'd love to see some more pics of them! Gosh, I really need to get out and travel a bit more. I thought the stream looked familiar. I'm so sure that's the spot that where they filmed Gollum flipping down the river after a fish.

And Jenn...ain't Moose so cute in his outfit!!!!!!!

I'll dig them out for you tomorrow and post a couple more. I loved how everything seemed white and pink around the edges. Not so nice when your feet sink into it however! :?
There are so many wonderful places in NZ and many were used for LOTR. I took far too many pictures when I was out there!

Jenn - Moose looks very dashing in his little outfit!

Ki - waterfall piccies are my favourites, second only to sunsets! :)

Pro photographers would say one can never take "too many" pictures! :)

Yeah, LOTR was the best "free" advertising NZ ever had.

 True! I bet they take hundreds!I do get quite snap happy so end up with many more than I need. I still want to find a couple of hours to sort them all out and choose some to enlarge.

I agree about the advertising! Its hard to go anywhere there without the lure of LOTR places to see.

They were waiting for us.

The scientologists told the local news crew we were terrorists.

This is the busy side of the street, and directly across from it, is everything else in this town :P

Chrysalis, you really have a good eye for composition and catching interesting colours in your photography. Have you thought about submitting your pictures to a stock photo agency? You might get some buyers. Seriously.

Or put together a portfolio of your best shots and present it to someone.

Thank you :)
I did at one point contemplate sending a couple off but didn't know where to start. I like the portfolio idea. I'm just never sure what is good and what isn't.

They're *all* good. :)

Okay. I finally figured out how to upload pictures to the album. I added three pics of our kitties to the Muttley Crew.
