Have you seen the movie (or miniseries or whatever it was) they made of Going Postal? They did quite a good job.
No!.

I didn't even know they'd made one. I did enjoy David Jason as Rincewind in the movies of the 1st 2 books though.

I am LISTENING to the unabridged version of the Crippled God. Have listened to the previous 9 volumes. All AWESOME.
But for some reason, not one of the Esslemont books are on audio. Puzzling.

They also did
Hogfather, and animated versions of
Wyrd Sisters and
Soul Music. I hope they will do more live-action adaptations - the ones they have done have been very well cast and true to the books.
I got my copy of
The Shepherd's Crown, but I'm going to save it for a bit. I know temptation will overwhelm me before too long, but until then, I'm not living in a world where there are no more unread Discworld books.

Yeah, I saw Hogfather, didn't know about the animated ones either though. Shall have to seek them out.
I'm busy on
Raising Steam now.

Just finished The Martian... I may just hold off now on starting a new book until SRD's new short stories are released. God knows I can't read an entire book in less than a month,

I just read Dima Zales' Mind Dimensions series. Pretty good. Lots of fun, and interesting applications of their weird powers.
Now reading Octavia Butler's Lilith's Brood series.

yes, it is another exploration of the super hero mythology. but this is done well. very graphic/adult. and I just love Quitely's art.
there is a prequel going on right now, but I will wait for the trade before reading it.

Just started Ancillary Mercy. I'd planned to have finished by tomorrow since the author is going to be at my local bookstore. It could still happen - it's pretty fast reading, but I kind of want to make it last.

Just read
Emerald Eyes, by Daniel Keys Moran. Telepaths, cyborgs, AI, a tiny bit of time travel... Hard to go wrong with that!

In all seriousness, good stuff. Now reading the 2nd book,
The Long Run.

I finished Empire Ascendant today. Really good book. It's the middle book of a trilogy, which is traditionally where the heroes hit their low point and everything seems lost - and by god is this one brutal. Hurley does not pull her punches.
