Oh yeah, CJ, I am totally good with her shaving her head as compared with multiple body-part piercings, etc.

An excellent plan! I'll suggest it to her. It may slow her down some....

Off to the shrine of football that is Hampden Park in Glasgow to see Scotland vs Ukraine in a Euro 2008 qualifier.
We're sitting top of our group at the moment, with rance and Italy close on our heels ( I still have to read that twice to really believe it

), so it's a must win game.
I'll probably have a few (:cough:) beers before and after the game, so hopefully I'll get a long lie in on Sunday.

If I missed anyone, I'm sorry.

Jay's not really in the DC area anymore, tho-- he's about 5 hours away, now. And Syl's in NC now, I think. (It's a revolving cast of characters!

)
KiGirl, where's your conference, in the District or outside? I work downtown and could probably meet you for lunch or dinner. Dunno what everybody else's plans might be -- I know Creator travels quite a bit for his job.

Long weekend (till Monday). Going to be playing a lot of video games: mainly Team Fortress 2 and the new Zelda for DS, Phantom Hourglass. And of course, I'll be reading Fatal Revenant.

Taking Mani to the vet this morning for his shots then I'm driving down to my college's homecoming game this afternoon.
Tomorrow, I'm going to help a friend set up her wireless connection and later call Jenn to talk about FR.

I'm going to be dancing (yeah, the pole kind) in front of a lot of people for my dance studio's first anniversary. So I'm getting my hair done, I may get my makeup done, and I have to go buy a skirt that isn't too whorish but will still show off my booty shorts.
I'm really really nervous about dancing in front of people. I'll be the lowest level student there, which means I'll be going first. I know less tricks than everyone else, am the only person who can't do inversions (going upside down) and have only been on a pole a couple hours in the past two months.
So I'm nervous, and freaked out. And it doesn't even start for another 9 hours.
ARGHGHGHGH!!!

Wadds...
Try to relax and just have fun. For sure everyone will be aware the newer students are going first. I am sure that will make the audience appreciate what you show them even more.
AK...I can't even imagine...wow.
My plans include staying on top of Beorn so his homework isn't put off to a last minute all night crunch tomorrow, hoping Turn results for Pantheon show up soon, and working on my chapter dissection for the A Wizard of Earthsea group read over on the Hangar, even though we are still five chapters away. I asked for what I feel is the most wonderful chapter in the whole book, so I want to give it my best.
...which isn't saying much, but this time I am seriously going to at least try...

I heard that a good technique to get over stagefright is to have the audience picture you naked.
Or maybe it was to actually be naked.
I can't remember.
[edit] Spending the weekend at Josh's. We just got back from a party at Ashley and Eddie's house. Josh said he wanted to leave because he was tired and 'had to get up in the morning.' As soon as we got back to the apartment, he popped like a champagne cork, right into the toilet. Atleast, I think he got it all into the toilet.

Bloodguard Bob and I are haviing Lucimay and MyssTerry (see fbh website) over for brunch. BGB is making waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs and a fresh berry medley for waffle toppers. Yum.

Update: Lucimay just called to lame out for the brunch. She is letting HOMEWORK get in the way of socializing. That girl needs to get her priorities straight. Sheesh.

Well, Cameraman Jenn and I went to bed only to be awakened from a knock on the door from our neighbor saying the house next door was on fire.
I knew it as I could smell it while answering the door.
It was actually two houses away and I watched as the firemen got into the house and soon afterward the smoke coming out of the window thinned out and I went back to bed.
The smell was getting thicker and we noticed flickering light coming through the lightwell window. The fire was here, in the lightwell. See, the south wall of the lightwell belongs to the house next door as San Francisco Victorian houses are all touching.
Long story short the fire ate it's way through the attics of two houses to ours and that's where they stopped it; not before tearing off the siding and filling the inside of the walls with water. We had to save a few things that were getting water damaged like CMJ's books! and my antique cameras which were in the bookshelf.
It's 2 am and still smells of housefire but we're lucky. The folks next door have to spend the night, and who knows how long, at the Red Cross and they're not allowed back in.

Oh wow, BGB!!
Baruh HaShem you and Jenn are safe and sound! I am glad you protected the books and cameras, but wow.
Will Jenn be able to call in to work late so she can try to recoup some sleep?
