It's Take Your Kid to Work Day, and our law firm is doing stuff all day to entertain the kiddies. This afternoon, we're staging a mock trial and letting the kids be the jury: The Queen v. Snow White. I get to be a dwarf. It should be fun.

MagickMaker is too old for the program at my firm, so she's doing an event through her school. She wants to be a forensic scientist, but they can never find anyone in forensics to have her sit with. So today she's shadowing a "health planner." I can't wait to find out what a health planner does. Last year she shadowed a "senior military analyst," which, it turns out, is someone who works with spreadsheets all day.

I'm kinda waffly about the whole concept of this day. The initial idea was to bring young girls into the workplace so that they could get an idea of career opportunities open to them, other than, y'know, teacher and hair stylist and so on. But it's sort of morphed into a get-out-of-school-for-a-day card for both boys and girls, and I'm not sure how much career information the kids are getting. One of today's activities here today was a quiz-show-format thing called, "Are You Smarter Than a Partner?" I understand that the partners lost. I'm sure it was a lot of fun, but I don't know how much it has to do with learning about law as a career.... </soapbox>

I think I caught a nerve or something in my shoulder--up next to the clavicle--during the night. Minor aches and twinges most of the time, but kills if I laugh.

In other news, yesterday I fixed the puncture I got in my front tyre way back in december, and I'm finally able to use my bike again. Feels good to actually be able to get somewhere in less than ten minutes.

I am so tired. This party has been kicking. We had a rad bee-bee gun fight, and my face still hurts from where I got taged in the cheek. On the plus side, I capped Jared in his wrist bone, so he's in worse shape.

Bee-bee gun fights rule. :D

Yep, Balon. . . what Dameon said!

Heh. . .reminds me of a story! When I was young my neighbor--the only kid within 3 miles--used to randomly get it into his head to chase me (and my bro too) with his bb gun. My Mom knew that kids+firearms=danger, so we couldn't have bb guns. Of course, that didn't mean we were actually safe--seeing that we would downhill slalom on plastic sleds in the woods, or in my case--fall out of a tree and land astride a barbed-wire fence! Hello emergency room!

Anywho, since we were largely defenseless, our neighbor Scott would at times decide to chase us down the dirt road with his gun. It made me mad the way one day he was nice and the next he was terrorizing me. Anyway, he got his just desserts one summer when he went to Texas and ended up shooting himself in the foot with that gun. He had to go to the ER and everything. . . after that he no longer chased me with a gun. :P

(this is Balon)

Firstly, I feel super upset because my profile is locked. Weak.

Anyway, we wear saftey goggles and medium thickness coats. Enough to fell the sting, but nothing more. Feel better guys? :D

It's early in the am and I am up and we are getting ready to head out to Disneyland. The drive down was pretty boring and Bloodguard Bob kept accusing Moose of farting and I kept saying it wasn't him and then when we got to his parents and we were unloading the van he realized that he had left a bag of bait shrimp in the back. Gross! I told him it wasn't Moose. Now the van reeks. Oh well, who cares, Disneyland here I come!!!!

I've been overdoing the training aswell. I went to do my weekly 10k yesterday and lasted 13 minutes. There was just nothing in my legs. I think it's a mixture of not sleeping well and a diet consisting of cigarettes, protein powder and alcohol. I've lost about 9kg's (20 pounds roughly) in the last month. That's not healthy.

Tired & fuzzy-headed (Due to lack of sleep)

Was out celebrating late last night because I received the highest grade in my class at electrical school.
Get to go to a banquet (RSVP) at school for free because I was chosen as honor student.
(Otherwise it would had cost $20 to attend the dinnner.)
Not bad for someone who was pointing out the teacher's mistakes in test answers.
(I thought for sure that he would be mad for being shown his errors.)
Only had three beers, but still feel beat because I didn't get to bed until 3:00 a.m.
and had to get up this morning at 7:00.
In a few hours from now, I may get to take me a good nap.

Congrats mate. 8) I suck when it comes to electrics. Putting in a new light bulb is as complicated as I can manage.
