How do you feel today?

Went to Disneyland yesterday and it was fun. Most of the rides were shite but Space Mountain ruled. The most fun however was found in the photo booth. They have this shop where they superinpose your face on famous movie pics. When I figure out the best way to replicate them I will post them. I won't ruin all the suspense but I will say they are hysterical. I also got one of the roller coaster shots of us on Space Mountain. Today, Chris is off bonding with his dad and brother and so I am just bumming around his folks' place and hanging out with Moose.

i have only been to Disneyland once, when i was 11, and it seemed noticeably smaller than Disneyworld, which i had been to 4 or 5 times before that, and about 4-5 since. the most impressive attraction for me the last time we went to Disneyworld, which was 2 years ago, was the Disney Philharmagic show. they call it 4-D because you can smell what you are seeing too. it was really really cool. the best 3-D by far i have ever seen, with images that really seemed to be floating in mid air right in front of me, with no eye strain or blurriness. plus, the smells were spot on, and they even have tiny jets in the back of the seats that spray a mist of water when appropriate to what is being shown which adds to the immersive effect.

glad you had a good time and i hope you are enjoying the relaxing R&R the "day after". i am looking forward to seeing those pics.

As for me, I feel pretty good. I had such a plethora of offers for things to do tonight I had to turn 3 down. I'm definitely feeling wanted--at least by friends! No news on the man front, though.

Aand. . . I got my insurance statement, and my copay is $27 less than the BEST CASE SCENARIO! My total cost is $343, and once I've paid it I can submit it to my cafeteria plan and be reimbursed for it. Woohoo!

Just got back from a bike ride dowtown. Why is it always harder going back up the hill?

My brother and I were going down for the Procession of the Species. The Procession is a big parade that the whole Olympia community makes. There's a free art studio downtown where you can make a costume or float or whatever, and then walk in the parade.

It's a celebration of diversity and a statement of protecting our resources, and being in tune with the world around you. It was good this year.

So now I'm sleepy and tired, and I need a shoulder massage. But it's a good ache.

I've been feeling pretty black all day (black=bleak, desolate, questioning my existence, dark thoughts, etc.). And now I just found out that my Dad has a tumor on his thyroid that may be cancerous. Now I feel pretty desperate.

I hate feeling this way. . . so very close to out of control.

I'll just shut it away and go to bed. Maybe the feeling will have passed by morning.

Hope your dad is ok, Wyld. Not all lumps = cancer; but I know that not knowing can be a really hard thing to cope with so *hugs* for you, and I'm sending your dad positive vibes!

I've just finished writing some lists: when I was in Year 9 at high school I did this subject called Court Thinking. The only thing I remember doing in that subject was where you pose yourself a question (like "should I eat jelly beans") and then write in one column all the positives and the other the negatives for (in the case of my example) eating jellybeans. You also have a column for things that don't seem to fit either column (additional information). It's supposed to give oneself a bit of clarity...I think. So I tackled "the big 3" for me today (which I won't outline...but they have a recurring theme). Anyway, after 3 hours I ended up with so many negatives for all three and only a couple of positives for each of them I'm left thinking "wtf am I doing!" and you know what, I have absolutely no idea! I mean, seriously, am I going to really ignore these lists now. I'd hazard a guess and say "YES" because I'm a bloomin' idiot.

How old am I!!!! When the hell am I going to grow up!!!! I think I thrive on angst... That's the only explanation I've got! BAH!

Heh, we sound a lot alike, Sea. Only for me it's closer to "WHAT the hell am I going to do with my life!?"

My only answer is, whatever I want.

I feel good. I recently got an interview for a movie theatre that's being put in near my house. So I'll be getting some more cash, some free movies, and some focus.

Nah. Growing up is for boring people. If you grow up, you inevitably grow old and, by default, BORING.

Oh yeah, and Jenn - I had the choice to go to Mouseville or Magic Mountain. THE RIDES at MM sold me. RIPPING!!! No mouse can compete with the Superman!

I'm pissed off and saddened by the behaviour of some people I know.

Two friends of mine are about to leave to go back to the U.S.; since they have access to the U.S. supermarket in the american military village, we've sometimes asked them to take us with them, so we could get some things that aren't that common in Germany, and generally speaking buy food more cheaply.
Since before Easter, I've been asking them, and our other common friends, whether we could organize one last trip there before they have to leave. Everyone agreed it was a great idea.
Then today I called these two friends to find out whether we could indeed organize the trip before they leave next monday, and it turns out that apparently, they already went to the supermarket with several of our common friends last saturday, and no one even bothered to call me. One of these common friends (who's almost always away from the town, and therefore joined them on their trip at the last moment), when I complained no one asked me, even said "but we were already nine people, what should we have done?".

It's not the fact that I didn't get to the supermarket that pisses me off; rather, it's the fact that no one even bothered to call me, despite everyone knowing I wanted to go there. It's a matter of principle, which makes me feel a little betrayed by people I trusted.

I feel pretty good. Got three shots of espresso coursing through me (or leaving my system, at any rate).

Just had my history final, and I think I did well. Was a World War II class; global perspective, no specific theater or country. Got an English exam at 2:00 PM. Going to level out and brush up on my notes till then.

Elfie, I have been to Magic Mountain before and yes, usually I am all about the rides. I hadn't been to Disneyland before and Chris was all gungho about going to Disneyland so I just went with it. It was fun, seriously fun, check the pics I posted in the album.

When you go on the roller coaster rides that they do the automated pictures on, mark where the flash is and then go back on and pose! It's HIGH-sterical when you see the results.
