Is 'demanding' another word for 'alcohol'...?

If your route takes you via I-75, give a wave towards Beorn for me as you pass through Gator Town (Gainesville, FL).

Brandon Sanderson.
Supposedly pretty good by all counts. I've only ever read his completion of the Wheel of Time series, but I thought he did a good job. There is a thread on him in Gen Fantasy if you want to hear from people who've read more of his stuff.

If you are looking to be entertained, you really can't go wrong with Sanderson. He does very well with plotting his stories, so if that's what you are in the mood for go for it.

I can be bribed as such.

did not feel well at all Friday. slept most of the day and was queasy the rest of the day. had some chili the night before, did not realize it had cumin. a seafood place we used to go used cumin in an appetizer and I was sick twice before I realized the culprit. an odd thing to not tolerate, no?

Chili powder is fundamentally cayenne and cumin, with other ingredients optional. Do you generally tolerate chili well?

And what about tacos? How can you have Taco Tuesday without tacos?!

I ordered myself one of these. Good gods. All that teasing done by those sneaky e-festers and my RL friend K. alike somehow wormed its way into my awareness and got stuck to the inner skull-bone akin to a piece of pestiferous chewing gum.

Weather and circumstances permitting, may use it to vex people during upcoming meetings.

Wow Frosty, you'll look stunning. Not sure about the sword though. :D

Unfortunately not - I-77, I-26, I-4 all the way.

@Frosty - could be vexing indeed! :D

Frosty -- or you could just skip the sword. ;) The dress is really cute!

Hope you're having a great trip, michaelm. :)

I'm exhausted and cranky. Went to NY last Saturday for the Self-Published Book Expo, which was fun. But it meant getting up at 4am to make a 5:30am train, and getting home just before midnight. Loooong day. And that was on top of the World Fantasy Convention the weekend before. This weekend, thankfully, I have nothing planned -- other than stressing out over the last few days of the Kindle Scout run for the new book. I paid a publicist friend to help me with the thing, but she's come down with shingles and has basically been out of commission for the past couple of weeks. So I've been buying ads at the last minute. Facebook initially turned me down -- I put "fantasy romance" in the ad copy and their bot thought it was for a dating site. I'll have an ad running in the local newsletter at my mom's house starting tomorrow. Hoping to get some votes from that. We'll see. Other than that, I'm trying not to think about it... :faint:

Good luck, Ali!

The last time I wore a dress was 1993. I don't own any dresses or skirts.

I like the sword. :P

That is one flocking long dress.

I have to say....go with the sword. This is the exact thing that used to turn early teen me on.

Thought the sword seemed quite low priced, but I checked the makers site and they talk a good game. :D
