Hang in there, Sea! So your results were not obviously good ... but they ain't obviously bad either! The odds are still the same. Suspense is a killer ... but have faith! Be glad that they are giving it a thorough going over. And the difficulties in evaluation are often caused by unexpected issues that have nothing to do with ... bad news. There're probably squabbling about whether or not to have you take the test again because there's a thumb in the picture, and how to bill the insurance company.

Geez Sea... try TRY to put it out of your mind until you can get a call. The lack of a call has likely little to do with the results (dr. sees ALL types daily), but instead more about the beuarcracy. Lots of calls to make...and the ones with mundane results (cysts and the like) may get pushed aside in favor of something more nefarious!
XOXO to you.

Sea! Hugs! It's all gonna be ok. Just a silly calcium deposit or some other minor nuissance. But not matter what, we are all here for you if and when you need us. I am sending you mental hugs right now.

I ate too much for lunch, offsetting somewhat my desire to strangle Sea's doctor.

Yeah, Sea, it'll probably be okay. If it was terrible, horrible, ohmygodhowcanshestillbeambulatory news, they woulda called you right away. Still, waiting sucks. Hugs to you...
Elfie: Thanks! And I'll remember that dead-shrimp-in-the-curtain-rod trick, if I ever find myself splitting worldly goods with someone again....
Cagliostro: Hope your news isn't as bad as you think it will be. But even if it is, losing a job isn't the end of the world. I've been laid off so many times that it doesn't even faze me anymore....

Sea: I'm sending good vibes your way. Good vibes can heal, ya? Try not to stress too much, and as Aliantha said, if it was bad news, more than likely they'd get with you right away. Unless they are just idiots who can't get what they need to do done.
As for my situation, yes, indeed, it looks like there won't be a place for me here soon. I am indeed being laid off, but I'm contracting, and the contracting company is willing to work with us, so that's good. AND we have until at least August to try to find something else. So hopefully that is enough time to find something. Unfortunately, IBM here a couple weeks ago laid off something like 5,000 people, so I'll be up against them. Then again, I'm better than all them, so I'll get right in. In fact, on something I sent off last night, I've already gotten a nibble, so we'll see.
Thanks for the good vibes from all of you here, and direct them to Sea who is still in the dark, which was what was killing me yesterday and this morning.

I hope things turn out for the better, Seareach.
I found out that an old mate of mine has been sniffing round my ex girl-friend. Hmmmmm....to be continued!

Tell him she gave you herpes. OR you gave HER herpes and didn't tell her...
That should keep him away...

I don't think he wants that rumor spread do you? Marvin?

Haha. "Fly rumour on winged feet". No I don't think I'll be saying that my ex or I contracted herpes, although if anyone knows of a secret evil way to actually give her herpes then I'm all ears!!
Everyone knows that there's a code between friends-you don't fool around with a friend's ex-gf, ex-fiance, ex-wife or sister without explicit permission from said friend.

That's absolutely true Marvin. He has overstepped the boundary lines. Kick him to the curb.

Marv: try to think back and make sure you didn't make any comment about her being fair game. The worst thing is a big argument over a misscommunication. Just cover all the bases. If your memory is clear, then I'm with Jenn. Breaking that code is worse than taking the urinal right next to you.
Sea: Hang in my souther Mate. The good-vibe shirts are on the WAY!
As for me, I just got back from my buddies house. He has a bad case of food posioning so I was over giving him soup and taking care of him. He was miserbale, which made it SO mcuh easier to give him shit by poking him with a broom. 'Course I'll be paying for it in a few days.

Got my results (had to go to the clinic and essentially say I was doing a sit-in until someone did something!).
So it's benign (well, they're as certain as one can be with the tests I've had done--there's definitely a hooley dooley lump there!). My doctor has told me to keep an eye on it and if it starts doing a number of things then I have to go straight back in so they can then refer me to a specialist so I can have a lump aspiration done (I think that's what it's called).
Anyway, thanks everyone for listening to my vent yesterday. Sorry about that! But thanks for listening, and thanks for all your positive vibes. And I really have to thank both Lucimay and Vain who have been there for me since I found the stupid lump. And Creator who did the big brother thing and didn't ask questions but who I knew was there for me if I needed someone. Love the three of ya.
