I still regret that I couldn't get through to Jenn while we were at Valle Caldera...

And...please warn me if y'all do plan on calling. If my cell goes off at 3:00 am (or later) unexpectedly, Hyperception will have my head!!!

Yay! This is soooo exciting. Lucimay and I are both gonna take Friday off so if anyone wants to rock up to Bloodguard Bob's and my place anytime during the day feel free. Lucimay and I will probably be making food and so there will be eats all day long. And there are plenty of guitars so Lucimay can entertain us! (like how I volunteered you Luc?) Plus we do have a scrabble board. You all are gonna be on your own for the day Saturday. BGB would probably be interested in taking you guys sightseeing or crabbing or something. I'm gonna be busy with party prep stuff. I guess we can figure it all out Friday night. Damelon, ring me as soon as you get into town and we can hang out if you want. I get home from work around five thirty on Wednesday and Thursday. Bloodguard Bob is temporarily not working so he will be around all day. I wouldn't mind if you wanted to distract him from his microwave experiments...

I don't know what the D-man's doing but following Luci around all day sounds like a plan to me... (Gods I love SF, I never thought I'd be able to go back this soon! :S ) cool, cool, cool, cool, 8) !!!!!!!!)

My flight is scheduled to arrive in SF at 10:15 am on Wednesday. I'm hoping to be settled at the hotel by Noon - 1. The plan is then on doing the sightseeing thing, go down to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown. We can hook up after you're done at work, Jenn.

Thursday's kind of go with the flow. I am thinking of going to the Giants game on Thursday afternoon. It's a 4:05 game. If BGB wants to go, he's welcome. I've heard it's a cool park. Looks like, because of Bonds, there will be a big crowd. The best seats for the game that I found on their website are in the upper deck.

Friday sounds neat. My day will be centered on picking up Danlo from the Oakland airport at 1:30 pm. My co-worker told me there's an excellent bbq place in Oakland. I'll have to get more info from him because that sounds like something to be considered. BGB, if he wants can be the guide, or I can be navigator. :)

After I get him, I'm sure we'll swing by to your place, Jenn, after we get Danlo lodged. :)

Lodged? Suddenly I worry that I am going to be jammed in a gun, or a dam or something. Hopefully not up anyone's nose! :P

All right, then we'll chuck your bags in a corner of the room, like that old samsonite commercial with the gorilla, and be on our way!

Are you working at that time? If so tell them you have to run out - you're going the extra mile to take care of a customer down the street griping about shoes! (you're in customer service for a shoe company, right?)

Sorus should be there as well!

i can prob'ly get off work at three! and meet youse at the park!
will you have a car damelon or will you be using public transport and hoofin it? (SF is a walking town and our Muni sells like weekly passes that you can use on the Bart trains, cable cars, and Muni buses and trains, and also you can stand on just about any corner and hail a cab)

I hadn't got that far in my plans yet, but if there's public transit to the park I'm sure it's easier, and a lot cheaper, to take that than to drive and park there. :)

well i believe there's a muni bus stop right across van ness from your hotel and i think one of those lines goes to the ballpark.

also, you're right across the street from the bus stop for the infamous 38Geary line which goes right through Union Square down to Market Street. you get off that bus at the first stop on Market and walk down Third Street to the ball park. a lot of people walk from Market to the ball park. its about 7 blocks i think but its easily a 15 minute walk.

or..you can transfer to another bus at market and ride those 7 blocks.

and here's a link to tell you info about the muni pass. it's 20 bucks for a seven day pass.
or you can pay the buck fifty as you go. you get a transfer good for 2 hours or so for that buck fifty.

www.bestofsanfrancisco.net/munipassport.htm
and there's muni maps everywhere.

and oh yeah...i just left a message on Sorus' voice mail reminding her of the FBH party and letting her know about the barbeque at jenn's and bGb's.

Man...I'm never going to live this down. If only you had a wireless connection going I wouldn't have highjacked it so much...

I guess I took over Fist's spot in this teasing, huh? At least until the next Albuquerque E'Fest... ;)

Julie found this on a blog this morning....

Magic Moments (3+ / 0-)
Recommended by:Rimjob, Elise, begone
So, I've been going back through my old, moribund group blog, which Blogger locked me out of during the 2.0 switchover, and manually moving my old posts to a new home in my shiny, not-yet-open, blog, when I came across a post I originally made in March of 2005, concerning Heatherly and Julie's Fantasy Bedtime Hour, a bizarre San Francisco public access cable TV show featuring two girls ("ill-equipped to handle fantasy novel concepts") in bed reading Lord Foul's Bane by Stephen R. Donaldson (?????).

And as I'm seeing if the ancient two year old lonks still work, what do I discover but that the very final episode, in which they finally finish the novel, airs tonight at 10:00 PM in San Francisco.

And to help them see off the final pages of the book, who should hop into bed with them to help explain it all but Stephen R. Donaldson himself.

Sorry, but the sheer WTF?itude of this made me go looking to see if Rimjob had posted a "Totally Irrelevant Crap" diary that I could mention it in. Because, well, umm, yeah.
