Good idea. Is there a cloth quartermaster for Gnomeregan? That would be a huge help.

When are you going to join us, Magick?

I do have a character on your server...I just never get on. She's a shaman, and I found that I didn't like playing a shaman character all that much.

Also, my subscription runs out in about 9 hours, and I don't have the money to renew right now, since I bought a plane ticket to Denver....

edit: there doesn't appear to be a quartermaster in Gnomeregan, sorry. There's on in IF, in Tinker Town.

I've done all the big cloth donations already, and I'm onto "More Runecloth", which only gives 75 rep a stack.

I think I gave away all of my runecloth recently, but I will see if I have some hidden away somewhere.

I played my lvl 19 belf mage last night in pvp around the Crossroads. Was fun. Alliance was knocking at the gates.

Ro has been doing good at the AH the last couple of days so I put 25g in the guild bank this am.

You know, if you want this guild to be as big as your ranking system seems to indicate that you do, its probably not the best idea to be in the habit of kicking people out who are inactive for such a short period of time. Especially when your guild is only around twenty members right now. But its your guild, feel free to do whatever you think is right.

Also, I failed to read the info tab in the guild bank, and rearranged stuff, because I didn't know how you were organizing things, and it seemed like a big jumbled mess to me. Sorry.

The rank system is just homage to Erikson. But since we are going to be adding members outside of KW eventually, I thought I'd put some work into it. Can't go around letting just anyone be a Fist, afterall.

Most of the people I kicked were noobs I paid for signatures (they were welcome to stay, but since they never bothered coming back...). Two others just got caught up by mistake. Since anyone else would be from KW... I apologized and made it known that they could easily come back in. *shrug*

But you know, I see a lot of people from other guilds asking for help on quests, incredibly simple questions, and so on. I think that's embarrassing, and I don't want it happening to our lower levels (and if it's the low-level people not playing, what use is having them in the guild?). I also don't want just a few people helping everyone out. It's a top-down system. So I am going to ask that if people are taking extensive breaks from their character that they at least tell the guild. If not... they can always come back in.

Good to know...

I agree about helping out - everyone was a noob once, and it is sad when people in guilds have to ask for basic help on general channels, and even worse when they get yelled at for not knowing everything. As long as they don't expect us to power level them and run them through Deadmines ten times a day. :P

As to my activity, it would take a total 'net meltdown for Storm to go inactive. Ditto Nixxe, as I am trying to get her to 70. Sorus is not as active as I would like, mainly due to a shortage of time on my part. I have been logging her in at least once a week and even leveled once last week. (Go me.) I know, she's a second hunter and she even looks like Storm, but I do fully intend to get her to 70 eventually. (And spec her as Marksman, though I am leveling her as a Beastmaster.) I hope to get Alta more active soon too. I had hoped that getting cat form would encourage me to play her more, but I am still hampered by my lousy melee skills. As much as I like the cat form I think I may have to re-spec her as a caster. Which I will probably do sometime this weekend. I have been thinking about starting a mage, though I would not have much time to devote to her right now. Would it be better if I didn't bring her into the guild until I have more time? (Which might be never.) I would hate to miss all the conversation...

right, and it makes perfect sense to boot people who haven't been around for a while. I just think it should be longer than a week before you boot them. But like I said, its your decision.

I don't know how often I'll be playing with you guys, btw. I have two lvl 25-ish characters on another server, and I don't get that much time to play as it is.

Heh. I don't plan on kicking any KW members. It's just a matter of keeping track of who's who. A note on any alts woud suffice, I think.

I'd normally suggest kicking anyone inactive for over 30 days who hasn't given prior notice. This is generally enough to keep the roster from getting too untidy and saves kicking people who've just had a busy couple of weeks.

Interestingly I've taken two three month holidays from WoW in the past 18 months and I haven't been kicked because all my characters are listed as alts with no parent main!

My other Watch guild member, Adolar:

I made the run from Menethil to Stormwind the other night, and I think I'll be working on him a little bit this weekend.

Spent the day fishing, and cooking the fish I caught. Got my fishing up from 240 to 300, and my cooking up from 40 to 225. Currently on my way to do the quest for Artisan.

Can't help myself! That has got to be the most bizarre reply I have read in 38 pages!

(Bear in mind I have never played, or seen anyone play, WoW. Imagining lots of manic fantasy characters kicking cr*p out of each other, while Murrin puts his feet up by the river)

If you've read all 38 pages, surely you've seen all the other posts I've made about fishing? Heh.
