Great News, Sea!

My brother as most of you know has cancer. Small cell lung cancer that has moved to his brain. He has recieved radiation, and we won't know just how effective the treatment was until June.

In the meantime, next week form May 16-22 (our b-day) he and my family are going to FL to universal studios and will visit relatives, freinds and such as well.

Hearing Seas news is a great pick-me-up!

I lost Daddy to small oat cell lung cancer many years ago. I pray treatment has come a long way since then.

What in the heck is Snape? Now Snapple-that's evil, I boycott that crap like Nestle, Domino's, Mitshubishi and Shell

Great news Sea!

Ready to do some more work to prep for Elohimfest--like putting out the very cool copper solar sidewalk lamps we just bought and getting the swamp-cooler working. It's so windy I'll probably blow off the roof-and it's raining (intermittenly) even tho most of the sky is blue... :screwy: Maybe I should just take a nap. 8)

Keep in mind, danlo, the only reason Jenn organized my trip to ElohimFest is so I can represent her 'Snape is evil' POV against Guns.

Even though she knows I totally disagree with that POV... ;)

Congrats Waddley! Shake that skinny white girl booty!

I feel really excited/sad/nostalgic/happy all at the same time. Tomorrow is the final action sequence shoot for Fantasy Bedtime Hour. It's been a great project and I am simultaneously sad and glad it's winding to a close. I am extra excited because Lucimay and Sorus are both able to make it to the filming and are going to debut as Urviles and Luci will probably double as Drool Rockworm for his appearance on the mountainside. This makes me very happy indeed. Although Lucimay ran the backup camera for the expert footage with SRD, I am always happy to put yet another watcher in front of the camera lens! Granted they will be masked.... 8O  I am also glad that Sorus too will get to meet the people behind the magic!

Sweet news Wadds! Taking them at a college, or a studio? And what kind of dance?

What type of dance classes, Wadds?

<--- former ballet, jazz, folk and modern dance student

:::years ago. I ain't shakin' nothing at ElohimFest:::

Sea, I apologize for not commenting earlier. I usually skip this thread, and poked my head in because I heard Orlando was mentioned.

I lost my Mom to breast cancer when I was 21, so I have had to have baseline and yearly mammograms since I was 35. Even with that, I had a huge lump just suddenly appeare with no warning about a year ago. It felt like I could just pull it right out; not firmly attached at all.

I was told that was a good sign, and the tests I had done all also proved that to be true. The interesting thing is that by the next monthly cycle, it was gone. No trace of it at all.

Listen to your doctors, and do what they tell you. But, try not to stress. I am sure SonofSeareach provides enough of that, besides lots of love, for everyone in your family.

Well, the Studio is called Pole for the Soul. So you can just go ahead and make an educated guess. ;)

Really, it just seemed like it would be a lot of fun, empowering, and a great workout. I DO want to learn ballroom, but I want a partner to do it with. I don't want to do ballet because for some reason it intimidates me. Jazz is also something I do want to do eventually.

Haha, classes won't actually start till a month from today :P Also, I don't know where I'd find an appropriate pole. (They spin. Can't just use any old pole ;))

Otherwise I REALLY would! :) It'd be fun.

I've never been to a strip club or anything but there was a club (the normal kind) in Seattle a while back that had a pole that me and a couple of my girlfriends took turns messing around on for like two hours. I had no clue what I was doing, but it was some of the most fun I've ever had at a club. Unforch they closed, and now I don't know where I'll be able to go to do it for fun :( I'll have to ask once I go to the classes if there's anything in the area.

Thanks everyone! I am feeling in much better form today (the last couple of weeks have been, at times, really difficult). But taking a positive out of it, I think I have a new appreciation for some things I took for granted and that can only be a good thing. :)

Good luck with your final day of action sequence shooting, Jenn. If I were you I'd be bawling my eyes out at the prospect of the project coming to an end.

*Hugs* for you Guns!

And happy dancing Wadders! I can't dance to save myself...but I don't think that dancing lessons would have helped me!

Wadds....dance lessons are a lot of fun. me n' my honey have taken ballroom, and now do Jazzercize together. She a hot momma.

Having said that, I'd give a week of personally prepared meals to see Wadds dance a pole. Jiminy-jumped-up-on-a-sidecar-Cricket! Wowza!

Thanks for the wishes well, all. The thing with my brother is what it is. He gets another full body scan in early June. We'll know more then. Metastastic recurrances usually spell trouble for the victim, but he is relatively young and the bran tunor is singular rather than appearing in bunches...
