Thank you, all, for the warm welcome

.
Avatar, I do feel like I know a lot of you already, but mainly because you all like talking about my favourite author

.
I don't share your expertise, however. I've probably only read each of the series a few times, at most. TC 1 and 2, maybe 4 or 5 times; Mordant, 3 or 4; Gap, at least 4; Brew and Ginny and the Last Chrons, just once. It's clear to me that many of you have read them many more times than that, and retained many more of the details than I have.

I only beat you on the last Chronicles I think, Jack. Read them 3 times now. You missed out the short stories and the latest novellas which I've only read once. My first read was just after the publication of The Wounded Land as I had to wait for the next two to be published. On second thoughts, perhaps I have read Mordant more times than you - they're my favourites next to the Chronicles.

Well, I've probably read the 1st & 2nd Chrons and MN more times. The last Chrons, I think I read RotE 3 times, FR twice, AATE twice, and TLD only once.
The Gap is probably about the same as you(ish), and I've never read any of the Man Who books, so you beat me there.
Also, never forget there is a lot more to talk about here than
just SRD, so make sure you explore and join in.

Thing is, most of those readings were over 20 years ago - and I've probably read only the TC books and the Gap series once in the last 10 years. MN at some point before that.
For a while there I was reading the TC books and Mordants Need every couple of years, but that was a long time ago

.
I have read the shorts, too, but only once, I think. Daughter of Regals twice, maybe. Oh and just once for The Kings Justice pair, too, although I may read them again soon.
I remember once I was visiting family in Australia and was looking for a book to read on the 12 hour flight back. I saw a cheap used copy of Forbidden Knowledge, and thought "that's as good as anything else I'll find". By the end of the flight I was so hooked I finished FK, and proceeded to read the rest of the series back to back until the end.
Anyway, enough of my blathering. I'm starting to sound like King Joyse. But without the <spoiler deleted>.

Haha, yeah, the Gap tends to do that to you.
Have you read Gilden-Fire? (Some editions of Daughter of Regals include it, but some (like mine) don't. It's sorta a missing chapter of The Ill Earth War.

Avatar,
(Aside: I can't help but think of your name in the voice of the Guardian. Ultima, anyone? No?)
I've read Gilden-fire twice, as I recall. Once when it first came out, but it didn't make a lot of sense reading it on its own. The second time I read it "in order" during a TC1 read. It's okay; it was the right decision to leave it out of TIW, IMHO.
I have it in paperback and in the later Daughter of Regals edition. I have the earlier DoR as well, mind you. Oh, and I actually have two of the G-F paperback edition. One signed.
But we're getting into collection territory, which will make for a long post. I wouldn't say i actively collect SRD, but i do seem to have ended up with many copies of his work.

. Mostly uk editions.

Haha, never played any Ultima games, sorry.
You're not alone...I suspect there are at least a few Watchers who are in the same boat. I just have one of almost all of them, and they're a varied bunch...mismatched covers.
I collect books, but not in the "Collection" sense, just in the sense of acquiring them to read as it were.

Hello Korik and Jack!
And yes, Jack, I remember Ultima. Loved those games. And I did the same thing when I first saw Avatar's name on this site.
