Hey all! I've read forums on here several times and finally decided to join. I read TC when I was about 12 for the first time and now as a young adult I enjoy it more every time I read it. I'm looking forward to reading what everyone has to say about the books and contributing my own two cents! Right now I am on my third time through Illearth War, about 150 pages left to go!

Hey, welcome aboard Kilonik. Join in everywhere. TIW is one of my favourites. Look around for a thread called "Defending The Land," you might like it.
And much more than just TC to talk about here...look around and post, post, post.
(You read the Gap books?)

Have you read the Last Chronicles yet? If not, be wary of spoilers.

Thanks all! TIW probably is my favorite. While LFB definitely hooks you onto the Land, there is no beating the reality of the Land and the urgency in TIW. I have not read the last chronicles yet, but that is on my list to complete probably within the next couple months! I will definitely keep my eyes out for any spoilers!

As long as you stay out of the last chrons and entire chronicles forums, you should be ok. We're usually pretty good about spoilers mostly.
Look forward to hearing what you think.

Sup. I'm a damn cat. I like Fire-Lions and the big cat from Mordant's Need that sets things on fire, the firecat. I like Donaldson okay, and all, but he really needs to get the notion out of his head that cats is always setting things on fire. I mean, c'mon, when has a real cat ever set something on fire?
Well, I guess I did that one time when I was curious about that candle, but that wasn't my fault. I never seen one before, so I had to check it out. If they didn't want me investimating it, they shouldn't have set it out. And it burned my nose, which scared the catnip out of me, and so what if I overreacted and knocked it over trying to escape. IT BURNED MY FREAKING NOSE. So, if you think about it, I was the victim.

Hail and welcome, Feeling Fine Feline! I'm a big fan of Mordant's Need, myself, and like the Chronicles almost as much. The Gap Cycle is worthwhile reading as well, especially by the time you get to the third book.
There are still the following SRD books you can delve into,
just in case you didn't know about them:
Daughter of Regals and Other Tales
Reave the Just and Other Tales
The Man Who Killed His Brother
The Man Who Risked His Partner
The Man Who Tried To Get Away
The Man Who Fought Alone
The King's Justice
All these works are discussed in the forum
General SRD Discussion and Other Works (but beware looking into the threads concerning these books if you haven't read them yet, for you will likely encounter SPOILERS!!!

).
As for the basically non-Donaldson parts of the Watch, here's some other areas you may be interested in:
The Loresraat - science/technology
The Galley - cooking/beverages
Vespers - music appreciation
Doriendor Corishev - history
The Close - religion/philosophy
The Hall of Gifts - creative writing
Hile Troy's Think-Tank - politics/current events
Of course, there's also the games to play while
In Pursuit Of Mallory
, and try to stop by
The Chronicles Art Gallery--I think you'll be glad you did!
Anyway, good to meet you, Feeling Fine Feline, and once again: welcome aboard!!!

Please feel free to set the website on fire with your opinions and wisdom; we'll all no doubt be the richer for it, and it might make you feel better as well!! Leave some paw prints on this website, indeed!

I'm a big fan of the firecat in MN myself.

Welcome aboard FFF.
I see Cord Hurn has done a spectacular job of introducing the board to you, but he has been negligent in one tiny way...
He neglected the most important thread of all:
Talk about your kittehs!

Go join in everywhere.
