Is also jealous of BGB. I love Tampopo and can't seem to find it anymore. Also, I've had the pleasure of seeing Southern Culture On the Skids once in my life, but it has been years. I'd love to see them again. I'm a bit surprised to hear they are still together.

I'm going to a spookhouse tonight, and tomorrow, we are supposed to go to a corn maze, but it might be too cold and snowy. If not, we'll go on Monday. The girlfriend's birthday is Tuesday, and we might celebrate a day early as we are both off on Monday.

I went riding after all. Gorgeous weather today, and the horse place is so lovely it's Andelainian. Fun! Happy-making!

Been a busy week/weekend for me.
School homework was a bear,
drove (literally) 330 miles for work (glad I get paid for mileage),
finally re-wrote and summitted my assignment for The GAP: The Real Story,
and now in the middle of installing the dishwaher my wife got for her birthday today.
(Also have to extend/rebuild the cabinets so the dishwasher can fit.)

Needless to say the S.C.O.T.S. were awsome. That was maybe my seventh time seeing them. I thought it was gonna be my fourth time seeing them alone as I called Lucimay, who had homework, and some other friends who were gone, but CMJ opted to go at the last minute and got her hair up on high and her eye make-up all purtty.
I got to sing into the mic during my fav song Carve That Possum, it was the encore. Now, of course, I spend a day recouping; been a while since I did The Frug all evening.

Dinner at Julie's? Wonderful.

I went to my High School Homecoming game and annual BBQ for the alumni. Got my free alumi t-shirt. Nick flirted with the highschool girls giving the school tour. Alex made a friend that is just like her! Amazing! She even looks very much the same as her. She says she is the only girl that know who Doctor Who is. Calli made a friend that like digging in the dirt as much as her. Nick wrestled boys 3 times his size... and was a fair match! I think he will be the Nolan Vikings smallest football player when he gets to high school. LOL Oh, and the Nolan Vikings slaughtered John Paul II Cardinals. At half time it was 37 to 0 whe we left. Good times.

Flying to Lithuania

The daughter of a friend is getting married on Saturday, and I'm going. I'll be there through Tuesday, and won't have much 'net access.

Have a great weekend everyone!

The weekend started at 1 pm for me  , took the kids swimming - my son (3) loves the water and would stay in the pool all day if we let him. My daughter (2), isn't that keen, had to take her out after 5 minutes as she was getting upset  . I think the problem was that she was tired, and when she's tired she's grumpy (definately a paternal trait  )

Wife is off out tonight on a girly karaoke night with her workmates, so I'm stuck in the house with a couple of bottles of South African red wine, with the kids tucked up in bed.

Saturday will be spent with the kids trying to avoid the wifes hangover

Sunday is undecided at the moment, but I'm sure something will turn up. I think the transport museum was mentioned at some point. The kids love their cars, so it might be a good afternoon if we go. (and it's free entry  )

My friend is a rugby coach; his team is playing a playoff game up in Milwaukee tomorrow morning, so if the weather is ok I'm going to drive up there. There's a Halloween party tomorrow night, but I'm not going to dress up for that. Sunday will probably be a day of rest from the Halloween party.

I just visted Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. Amazing place. I got to feed an elephant (and pictures were taken of me), and then watched them for some time.

Currently; well; i'm pretty drunk, and screwing up any possibility of getting together with a girl that i seem to have a thing for

but yeah; it was a pretty shitty idea to do what i did, so i probobly deserve whatever scorn that she can throw my way

That sounds excellent, Lore. The zoo's I've been to I've really liked, because the animals there were ones they rescued from crappy circuses and arenas, things like that. The only animals there were the ones who couldn't be put back into the wild.

Helped Josh get his Proton Pack almost finished. We'll be finishing it up in the morning. I have killed a liter of rum in just under four hours, and I'm not drunk, just slightly buzzed. Highly disappointed, as I haven't felt such a need to drink to forget in almost a year now. But it's almost that time of year where certain dates are almost upon me. I spent nearly all of Saturn's day mulling over the fact that if I make it for another decade I'll still be thinking about the people who aren't with me anymore. And I broke my self-imposed ban on the Think Tank.

Oh well.

Time to hit the second liter of Rum, and maybe have a few beers, before we have to finish Josh's proton pack.

Are you gonna play Lord Mhoram to my Ur-Lord Covenant, now? If so, I may have to blow my financial aid on a trip to South Africa, just so I can shove a sword into your favourite table.

My favourite table will survive. And these days, I doubt you can get a sword through customs, let alone a strangely glowing one. However, I have a couple you could use instead if you really insisted. (Although I'd call the krill more a knife than a sword.)

And once you post in the 'Tank, I hound you unmercifully ever afterward. Ask MatrixMan... ;)

Yesterday morning I finally cracked open Fatal Revenant... five hundred and some pages later, I went to sleep (around 2 am). Then this morning I woke up and read some Fatal Revenant while having breakfast and preparing to go to work ;) I assume I'll finish it by this evening... :P

...and here I am, still at page 151...

Since I received EL's copy of FR, Beorn has reread both the first and second chrons, had me check out Runes from the library, read that, read FR, and has read both The Real Story: The Gap into Conflict and Forbidden Knowledge: The Gap into Vision. He's just starting A Dark and Hungry G-d Arises: The Gap into Power.

*sigh*

I'm beginning to think Jay and I should have a competition to see who it will take longer to finish FR...
