May make a joke even out of something thoroughly not funny
Deer, got to warn you, if you don't like the banana one, opening Sarge's link is risky. Sarge, do think you those are good? I didn't risk checking out for long.
And no, I didn't watch anything like that. Remembered some of what I did watch) www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWSxev7eJvs www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbsuLAeFwRU

Reminded me nicely of one more good thing)
And I've seen that one above, and much more of those, really funny, though actually very different in the style and feel from what I linked to. It could be hard to tell from such small bits and without the text, I meant mostly the music.
Music is usually the most I can give to people from what I watched then, most of the good Soviet films and cartoons weren't ever translated, or I haven't seen any of that. The cartoon I posted a link to is a nice and kind one, and rightfully loved, and the film is history perhaps in the way the Star Wars are in America, though with a different feel, it's one that often leaves the now grown-up children in tears.
However, I think there is a story, one I love since I'm not even sure how old, that's likely to be understood without translation) www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6AXub29Dpw&fea ... ults_video

Suggested an interesting idea that had unexpected results.
Haven't seen much, comic books apparently weren't ever widely spread in the Soviet times or even after. Most of those that do exist are translations or continuations of existing foreign ones. I know mainly loads of TMNT and Mickey Mouse ones.
However, checked the web and found some strange old comics, very likely a fake, but not sure englishrussia.com/2009/09/03/the-unknown-russian-comics-books/

Some of the TMNT ones also) And even a page with Batman englishrussia.com/2009/02/13/russian-comics-book/

Posted what looks very intriguing but my 3rd world connectivity leaves me disappointed again.
And, Effy would also look good sporting the balalaika-gun, if not the toga-like thingy the Soviet bear is wearing.

Left his lava lamp burning at home. And just like a nightmare I had as a child, the thing overheated and lava came pouring endlessly from the top....
