You need to have enough social awareness to screen profiles for crazies.
Yeah, that has been my issue. I attract them like a magnet. Not sure what the issue is. My profile is not bad, not whinny or man bashing like some of the ones I have read. I am thinking it is my age (55) or that I am a bit zoftig. But let me tell you, the kooks find me.

they meet one of the following criteria;

70-90 and need someone to change their depends

Married taxi drivers that dont speak english

The fat fetish ones that tell me I am too skinny

The ones that tell me I have a few too extra pounds

The little boys that think my world would rock if I dated a 20 year old (yeah, like they know where all the parts go  )

The middle aged guy with the sweep on his balding head that needs to tell me every thing his mother f)*&((king ) ^&**&^$ ex-wife did to him and how if we go out I better be ready for that B*!CH!!!!

oh, and my favorite
the guy from the other side of the country that knows I am lonely and is willing to help me out by moving across this nation to live in my home...btw, will I pay for the moving company?

I won't even bother you with stories about guys that actually made it through my firewall. You wouldn't believe me, anyway.

I've decided to become the crazy dog/cat lady 300 cats living under my bed.

Heh, I think that's why I don't go on dating sites. I figure I've got problems enough already. Maybe once my kids are grown, I'll have the time and energy to make a halfass attempt at finding true love.......

I've pretty much given up on online dating... people always lie online. They seem to think you're not going to notice when you actually meet in person.

I've had much better luck just talking to people in real life.

The whole region has been shrouded in thick fog all day. We've been promised sun and warmth by Friday, but I'm not sure how much to trust.

I signed up for two dating sites on a lark awhile back. Out of both sites, I had one person contact me. One. And I was definitely not interested in him. <sigh>

Which pretty much mirrors my RL dating history, come to think of it. <sigh>

Altho maybe part of the problem was that one of the sites was eharmony.com, since Wadds says it's aimed at Christians, and I'm not. (Come to think of it, I had to go two or three screens into the "religion" category before anything remotely Pagan was even offered as a choice.)

Anyway, and continuing the Eeyore-like theme of this post, it's supposed to be sunny and in the 70s here Friday -- the day I'll be at my aunt's wake in Chicago, where it's supposed to be overcast and in the mid-40s. <sigh>

Hmm. It's 60 today and supposed to be close to 65 when I go to Chicago tomorrow.

Get some rest, Sarge. Don't strain your back at the keyboard. ;)

I checked out the eharmony site once. Laughed at the questions and dropped the idea.

For some reason lately my blog has been getting lots of spam bot messages all under the same old post. Filter catches them all, of course, but I noticed the increase in activity cleaning them out.

Really? That's good news! That guy from channel 9 must be unreliable.... ;) I'll have to check again.

Good news on the law enforcement front, Sarge. :)

I am feeling good. Got a three day weekend starting tomorrow, then substituting at Emeryville for the next week so get to hang with my old crew for a few days but only four and then I start a vacation. Six days off in a row. I hardly know what to think. It's gonna be great.
