sarge, post the poem.
i'm all weepy and shit after reading the poem and looking at all the pics and downloading all my pics to facebook and...
i miss all of you so much already!!
please, next time, there are watchers that NEED to be there that were not there this year.
you know who you are (sheriff! avatar!!)
i just want to say that donaldson was awesome and magnificent this year,
animated, expansive (his word), and revelatory (my word) and i am so grateful and pleased at how cool he was. he was really "with" us this year. he's always seemed a bit uncomfortable (who wouldn't be! lol!!) and reserved but this year it seemed as tho he'd decided aforehand to just let his guard down and really be present there with us and it was wonderful. thanks SRD, for making this a wonderful event and sharing so much with us. thanks romeo for the same, it was great to see you so happy. thanks bob v for your great humor and presence. thanks danlo and tam for being, as ever, the best hosts anyone could ask for and wonderful friends. thanks elora grace for your HUGE presence. thanks thor for not chewing my leg off. thanks fidel for your insanity. thanks all the attending watchers for coming. i love you all.
post the poem sarge.

Everyone shared a lot. Whenever SRD said "party at Danlo's" I was ready to go!
I was at a loss for words when SRD asked how I'd like him to sign my book-- next time I'm going to ask him to write, "Glad I brought a TASER" LOL

it is hard enough for me to get the art car paraade off. and the art car museum opening when we have work in. and the county fair art exhibit when we have work in.
Art Car parade is awesome in Houston-- been to two. This was my first gay pride parade, I have been having trouble uploading photos to photobucket. Planning on posting them... love those leather boys!
Yeah, they actually looked pretty badass. Nothing there you couldn't see in a nice Boris Vallejo illustration.

I know. If we really were a couple, I would have been very jealous and suspicious at this point.

You always were the jealous type.

danlo wrote:So, to whom do I send this copy of the Dictionary of the Khazars?
Orlion claimed it. But hey, if he was silly enough to leave it behind, then I say it's up for grabs.
Oh, and danlo, speaking of people leaving stuff behind, let me know how much the postage is for my Tevas.
Finally home, finally have enough time to look at all the pics and look at *my* pics and read everybody's posts. There just wasn't enough time between connections yesterday -- I nearly missed my flight to DC. Started to post something in this thread, then turned around and noticed my flight was boarding!

Luckily I was in Group 4. (Never thought I'd consider myself lucky to be in the last boarding group, but there you are.)
Fest memories: Lady Tam mistaking bossk for Cag's significant other...spotting those elk running across the Andelanian hills...Grace with lorin's camera (clickclickclickclickclick -- "Grace, you're supposed to look at the pictures after you take them!" -- she stops and peers at the pic she just took, then resumes the clickclickclick)..."Fuck you, Luci!" "Fuck you too, Lore!"

(or maybe it was the other way around)...SRD signing Wadds' shoulder...lorin, Luci and I having a heart-to-heart in the hotel lobby while waiting for Waddley's plane to land...the giant penis balloon presentation ceremony at the Flying Star...great food *all* weekend long...the question Romeo and Creator were gonna ask SRD...SRD avoiding someone's question with, "Party at danlo's!"
So yeah, count me in -- 2014 for sure, next year in Boston for sure, every year from now until the end of time for sure!

One thing I have to say about Bossk and I being mistaken for a couple - it definitely isn't the first time. My ex-wife thought that Bossk, and our friend Nathan and I might all be friends of Dorothy. I'm not sure how we give off that impression. In fact, Bossk told me later his response was, "We can't be gay. We're not neat."

cags : friends of Dorothy? i want to steal that for poem...

my favorite moment........Grace sitting on my lap looking at my boobs. I say
" My boobies got smaller since I lost weight" Miss Grace looks thoughtfully at my chest , then looks at me and asks
"which one?"

Trust drew to cut to the chase.
Here are a couple of my pics. My camera was set on a weird ISO speed for the first couple of days, so a lot of my Fest pics were crap.
Poor danlo -- getting folks moving to Andelain was like herding cats.
For Wadds, Lore, and any other Watch astronomers: the student observatory at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. My friend's son worked on a project involving Mars here.
Any Eagles fans? Anne and I drove through Winslow, AZ, on our way to Flagstaff.
A small part of the Grand Canyon:
Another small part of the Grand Canyon:
It's been a tough couple of decades between Chronicles for the Ravers -- good to see that one of 'em got work in Sedona:
And the full moon peeking out from behind Courthouse Butte, which is next to Bell Rock, which is reputed to be a vortex. So: a little woo-woo for ya.
