We are ok at the moment. It is very dry so I reckon January could be interesting. We are in a slightly cooler area than Sky - she would have had temperatures the other day in the mid 40s C, whereas we were more mid 30s.
Our main problem is lack of rain (which seems to be Australia-wide at the moment apart from the tropics).

It's a pleasant 50 degrees in Mass right now.
Still some patches of snow on the ground in my area so it has a nice white Christmas feel. It will be gone by the end of the day I imagine.

HLT, I'm in the Midwest, and it's about the same right here. (minus snow patches.)
This place has been feelin' her absence something fierce... thank you for sayin' somethin' Sorus.

Ahhh! Thank you greatly for letting us know what's up, StevieG!StevieG wrote:Sky has been smashed by the fires from all sides. Has had to evacuate once but is back at home now. She had to organise all the animals etc too. Plus Christmas visitors so she has been run off her feet.

It's been raining here in England since late October. No kidding. Luckily during the night and through the daytime working hours. However, Storm Brendan rolled in on Monday, got soaked to the skin. Same again yesterday.
The rain has kept the weather mild this winter. Very little ground frost with no snow.

There were four storms on the menu this week, but we only received one. It was fairly spectacular though. Had been on-and-off throughout the day, and it was dry when I got off work, so I decided it was safe to detour for a trip to the market on my way home.
I was about halfway home when the sky just opened up. Rain, hail, thunder and lightning. Quite fun except that my work boots are still wet.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

We have had soooo much rain.
With the fires .. and the drought our river .. which supplies drinking water dropped more than 12ft ... its spring fed but cuz so much water had been drawn from the river it was a conglomeration of sandbanks and stagnant puddles.
But who knew we were going to get all this rain 🌧 which is brilliant cuz its literally flushed the ash and crap out of the river and is full to overflowing
