Got the driveway all cleaned up. Raked the roofs. Shoveled off the deck, and cleared access to the oil tank fill.
.. More snow tomorrow. And then again Sunday. (It's the third most snow ever recorded in a year for Boston, and it's still coming.)
Sorry to hear about it, michael; everyone seems okay.
Sorry about the foot, Sarge. But I think you have a few more ass kickin' days left.
Sorus ... you make your own luck. Good and bad. Don't wait for winning the lottery... make plans to do something nice on the next Fri13, take the day off, we're talking spa or jewelry shopping or hiking somewhere new or something.

Thanks Wayfriend, we were both fine. The truck just sideswiped me behind the wheel arch but we weren't really going that fast. I'm kind of resigned to the fact now that I'm surrounded by pretty much the worst drivers in the country and just assume that this is going to be a biannual event from now on...

Got to drop my car off at a body shop and pick up a rental car today. There's thick ice on the roads so I'm waiting for it to melt. Hopefully the roads will be clear of ice by tonight.

Where I work there is a small atrium.
Hopefully the trash can gives this pic some scale - the windows are about 12 feet high.
Oh, yeah ... and I am sick of snow.

That's a lot of snow. Send some over here, we're having a freaking heat wave.

There are a LOT of bad drivers out there. I don't even drive and I was in a hit and run a couple of years ago - guy ran a red while texting. I think distraction is a big factor. Glad your driving skills were vindicated.

Damn that is a lot of snow.

I can't imagine living somewhere that cold.

Aftermath of having Frost Giants visit your continent last year...

Yep, and pretty much every native here blames people from out of state. The cities and states in the south east consistently come near the bottom of lists of driving safety when accidents and fatalities are considered so I don't buy it that it's always "the other guy's fault"
I don't even know it's distractions - people here are just crappy drivers. I actually had to take a road test when we moved to NC (just had to transfer my license moving to SC), and I was just dumbstruck by how little I had to do. It was about 20 minutes of driving around and the only maneuver the guy from the DMV asked me to do was to back into a parking space back at the office. When I was renewing my license a few years back everyone waiting could hear the guy behind the desk helping an elderly lady cheat at her road sign recognition test.

Wow. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't happen in Virginia. *Pretty* sure. Glad you're okay after your accident, anyhow.
Sarge, is this latest thing on the same foot with the bum ankle (I think it was...)?
So Monday was a holiday and yesterday our office was technically closed due to a snowstorm (we got 4 inches and Metro canceled bus service -- go ahead and laugh at us, WF, everybody else in Boston is). But Travelin' Guy had clients coming in from India. So I got called in to work both Monday and yesterday. Funfunfun. Not.

The only saving grace is that I got paid double time and a half for yesterday.... And I'm taking next Monday off. I want my three-day weekend, dammit.

Brrr!!!!
I'll take my 64 degrees, thanks, though I wish it were warmer. My house does not hold heat well.

You folks have been hammered this winter.
My daughter has been sending me pics of increasingly piled snow.

Aw crap. I'm sorry.... Blue or green? My kids are green. (I forget which team is which -- I only know the colors.

)
