I am NEVER being a bridesmaid again. I have spent
way too much money on somebody else's wedding. She's gonna have to suck it up, too, because I officially can't afford to bring a(nother) gift. What's up with showers, anyway? Get a bunch of stuff there, and then a bunch more at the wedding? So do the people who show up to both have to bring two, or what? And stupid me had to offer to pay for the hotel rooms. I was okay until I saw THAT bill. Nope, never again. Especially since there is no place on earth where a pink dress with rose trim is gonna look anything like an appropriate piece of clothing.
Angel looks good in pink... maybe I'll make a fly sheet out of it for her.

Alynna, I hear your pain sistah! I have to get all my lists ready and get myself mentally prepared to cater a dinner for 50 people the night before Terry's wedding (next weekend). Luckily she isn't making me wear a stupid dress. The last wedding I was in was torture. The pastel lilac shiny dress designed for people built like Kate Moss was humiliating (squashed my boobs so flat I looked like a big lilac sausage), the matching ugly shoes caused me multiple blisters, (the entire useless ensemble cost me $140) the person who did my hair made me look ridiculous (picture a cross between Olive Oyl from the Popeye cartoons with a half sprouted chia pet on her head) with a super tight bun with flowers sticking out and enough hairspray that it took three hours to take the bun out without ripping half my hair out and about five washings and rinsings to get the spray out. It was hell.

Man. Have a great time on your vacations, guys.
As for me? Not for awhile. Work is great, and I love most of my managers, but it's always the ONE that ruins your day, eh?
Time to soak with some Sci-fi and forget about the day.
