Well, I have another 500, so here goes.
This Week's Contest
The Giants have given us such sayings as "Haste is for the hopeless."
While the Brathair have given us such adages as "He who waits for the sword to fall upon his neck will surely lose his head."
The Elohim often say, "The heart cherishes secrets not worth the telling."
In this weeks contest, make up a saying that somone in the Land says, and tell us who's saying it is, and explain to us what it means. For example,

Quaan and Troy had no use for Covenant, they had their army, they didn't need White Gold. The Warward can even break the arm that wields White Gold! Give the Sword a chance.
My Favorite line in the whole series, is when Quaan threatens to break Covenants arm at Soaring Woodhelven.

"Don't go all Linden on me."
This was said numerous times by Sunder and Hollian to Anele when he was growing up during times of incessant crying and at times when he was too needy for his parents attention.
Later Hollian and Sunder quickly stopped saying this as soon as they heard about the fate of Linden's parents from visiting Giants.
"What the Linden?" "Linden you!" "I will Linden you up" and just plain "Linden" were firmly established swear phrases in the mindspeak of the Haruchai.
(The Haruchai were also able to make "Linden" into a verb for additional swearing but the limited English language compared to their extensive mindspeak doesn't allow me to post it here.)

To my taste, Matrixman and Drew's entries are the most creative and meaningful. MM's is the stronger, but since he is the immediately-prior winner, I would probably choose Drew's entry. The irony of hearing his entry voiced in my head ("All we are saying...") by The Plastic Ono Band also boosts his standing.
I understand the humorous appeal of HLT's entry, but just turning Linden's name into a vulgarity doesn't quite do it for me imagination-wise.
