These layers continued to build, but it became clear to the guys in the stories, and to me, that there was a thing in the house, stalking him/me. Continually getting closer. But I/we/he couldn't do anything about it, because I/we/he was entranced by the book, and couldn't stop reading it. Getting increasingly scared, I/he jolted myself/himself awake, to find I/he was still reading the book. This happened multiple times, and each time, I thought I was really awake, until I saw the book again. And the thing was getting closer. Finally I did wake up with a yell, and found myself in bed.

I have, as far as I can remember, never been so freaked out by a dream.
8O That's some hardcore dreaming. Most dreams that scare me cease to be scary in the light of day - but even just the description of this dream is scaring me.
Wyldewode wrote:*frowns* Is the cost of good sleep and good dreams the fact that others around me suffer bad sleep and worse dreams?
Hey, it could be the other way round. I've slept really badly (and with weird dreams) for as long as I can remember; maybe I'm giving you good sleep. :P

I dreamt that Malik and I split up and I ended up having to get a roommate, living on the bad area of town. Malik started dating my roommate. I told her that I had to move out b/c I still loved him and it hurt to much to see him with someone else.

Sometimes when I lie down to go to sleep my brain starts sorting things into categories. It also makes lists of things--sometimes lists of things I need to do. It's like my brain is trying to sort all the ephmera that has come in during the day into some coherent whole. The problem with this is the fact that when I fall asleep doing this, I don't sleep well at all. I wake up with a tension headache, and a worse-than-usual ache in my jaw from gritting my teeth.

I think I'm going to have to start going to bed earlier, or else relax better before time to sleep. :?
