Heh, nice ferret.

Ahem...

Alright, well, as I lost my speech papers, I'll have to-- *prod prod* Oh, alright already!

My name's Kou'al -- mean apostrophe thing -- and I'm here to collect all of your skulls and-- *PROD* Er, I mean, learn about humans and stuff. Hi, future prey, er, *hides from prod*, erm, people.

Can I go back to the game now? *Yes, you may.*

I thought I have posted here before, but I'm not turning up on search.

I'm Pam, probably one of the older posters here. I discovered the First Chronicles as a freshman in college, in 1978. The Land has been with me a long time.

Hail! and Welcome Pam/Menolly! Welcome and true!

You'll be surprised at the ages of some of us. Don't let some of the strange posts we make fool you! :D
Although I was a freshman in college in 1988, I feel as though I should have continued on to become a soph the following year, but that was not the case.

But enough about me! Welcome, once again! Enjoy your time here, and remember, if you ignore me, I'll go away. :D

So, I guess this is where I say howdy.

I've got every one of SRD's fantasy novels since The One Tree in hardcover. I read the original Covenant series way too many times in high school, then kept following him. He's one of the few authors I keep on my "always buy" list.

I remember thinking the torture of waiting for "A Man Rides Through" was brutal.

And I remember thinking how much better the 2nd Chronicles were than the 1st. Then thinking how much better a writer he was when I read Mordant's Need. Then, suddenly, the Gap series was my favourite.

I'm 2/3 of the way through Runes, and for the first time ever I can't wait to finish the book so I can go back and read it again. Because I know it's so complex there's no way I've caught everything he was saying.

What an incredible writer. Nice to find a forum.
