You guys have all these GORGEOUS postcard perfect pictures of places and skies and weather and so forth that I almost feel intimidated and silly for posting all my chihuahua gone wild photos.

Hey, CMJ, it surely takes a steady hand to capture a hyperactive chihuahua in frame and in focus! So a round of applause for you!
And Chrysalis, once again I see why you (and Wyldewode) would be at home in a Travel forum.
I'm glad you all found my crescent moon pic to your liking. I've submitted a larger version of it and of the lunar eclipse into the KW Album, in case anyone wishes to use them for whatever nefarious purpose:

AAAAhhh the oranges and purples..natures pallette in every sunset. They are so fleeting tho. Its good to see it everywhere.
The iridescent clouds above where a strange show tho. Clouds to the south and north were the regular orange to red but those in the middle..possibly directly aligned east of the setting sun, glowed in iridescent.Has something to do with the same mechanism that creates sun dogs, sun pillars, etc..Alignment of rays to alignment of ice crystals in clouds..When aligned just rite, the tiny ice crystals act like prisms and thus the rainbow or Iridescent.

Very nice Covjr! Very nice place to study! There really are some fantastic old buildings in use around the UK.
I should try and find some of the ones I took at an old castle in Wales a couple of years back.
They just have such wonderful atmospheres.

I want to get one of the library. It really is like Unseen University in there (or, for the more Rowling-inclined of you, Hogwarts *gag*)

Oooo that sounds nice! I am told there is a place used in the Harry Potter films somewhere near here in the South.

And Reave, you Paris pictures are very nice! I have the exact same picture of the Rose window in Notre Dame!

Tres bon!
I admired that window from the other side of the river Seine, but had no idea how beautiful it was from inside the cathedral.
That's an amazing harbour view too. I have vowed to make it to the south of France one day.
