Recently finished reading Muse of Nightmares, sequel to Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. Liked it a lot.

I finally got my hands on To Green Angel Tower by Tad Williams. I greatly enjoyed the first two books and look forward to finishing off the series.

Eh, was planning on rereading LFB but can't deal right now. Going for some light escapism instead.
Gemmel's Quest For Lost Heroes.

I have started a second read of Donaldson's The War Within.
I am feeling much encouragement from the news that his third book in this series is heading towards publication!

The problem with Gemmel is that, like Pratchett, it's practically impossible to read just one.
As such, the above was followed by White Wolf and then The Swords of Night and Day.
However, I managed to break free by turning to, (of course) Terry Pratchett, so am now reading Snuff.

I just read The Giver by Lois Lowry, and have to say that it lived up to the hype in every way.

The Folklore of Discworld.
I think I might re-read the Culture books after this. Maybe.

Well, the release of the first 3 WoT episodes tipped me into re-reading that instead.
Started with
New Spring on the weekend, now busy on
The Eye of the World.
New topic up in TV forum if anybody is watching it:

Right, book 6,
Lord of Chaos.
Will prob be a bit faster after this, the next 4 books (7-10) become steadily worse, so am expecting to do a bit of skimming...

The Path of Daggers, book 8. (Actually, book 7 wasn't as bad as I remembered, and nor has this one been so far. The next 2 though will be a bit tedious I fear.)

Book 9 of the WoT series,
Winter's Heart. The 2nd worst book of the series, eclipsed only by the next one.

Thankfully I know which are the boring bits so I'm only skimming those.

Well, I actually skimmed less than I expected...turned out my memory was faulty and a lot of the important stuff I thought happened in the next book actually happened in this one.
Now however, I'm on Crossroads of Twilight, the absolute nadir of the series.
I shall plow on though, as things improve noticeably in the next book.
