That's just a little retaining wall down by the sidewalk.

I got another inch or so. But it's on top of the snow that STILL hasn't melted yet.

Which is so odd for Washington, because normally there'd be nothing but slush and black ice.

YAY!

We only have a dusting of snow, but there is quite a thick coating of ice on everything. And yes- it is horribly horribly cold.

It's quite cold here too--but we never got the storm they predicted...

She and her car are a bit shaken, but unharmed.

I almost died.

DIED.

O.o

I don't want to talk about it.

(Yes, I know that I already posted this in another thread. My brain is a bit addled. Deal.)

Remember, it's not really a near-death experience unless you pucker so hard you actually suck part of the car into your intestines.

Yeah, I didn't wet myself either, and my life didn't flash before my eyes.

To be quite honest, I was completely calm and cool with everything until I parked at the hotel (SLID into the parking lot) and asked the girl at the front counter there if I could hang out for a while. (I had a book, they had a fire, it wasn't too bad.) Anyway, THAT'S when I broke down and had to go to excuse myself to the ladies' room.

It's fiannly winter here.

Typical East Coast Canadian...we got a few inches of snow, followed by a few hours of frezzing rain, and tonight it's dropping down to about minus twenty, with a windchill of below minus forty.

Last night I ate dinner outdoors in Annapolis harbour wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Tonight it's going to be around 20 degrees (F) with the wind chill.

It's good to hear you're o.k, Wads.

We had a couple of inches of snow yesterday. It looks like it will stick around for a while. For today and most of the week it's supposed to be in the 20's.

Glad you're alive and in one piece, Wadds! 8O

We've been in a deep freeze for the last week and a half. Not grumbling too much about it, though. I don't drive, so I don't see all the ice and snow around me as my enemy, but as something beautiful to look at. Wind - now that's my enemy. Brrrr.
