Heh, I saw that group and considered joining, but decided it wouldn't make any difference anyway.

Like I said, up until a few hours ago there was an application that bypassed the layout. I'm sure another one will be developed.

And I joined the petition groups out of principle, damn it! :P

Doesn't seem to have. My daughter's friend joined a different anti-new layout group, but I didn't bother to join that one, as well. Didn't seem worth the effort.

Btw, have you all seen this?

The Ten Commandments of Facebook.

Am I the exception in liking the new FaceBook? I've been using it since it was first offered as an option.

*wondering if I was one who commented on a status of Cj's before he realised how it was done*

I like having a separate page for my "boxes."
I like my Wall being the main thing I see on my profile.
I like the tabs to highlight favorite applications at the top of my profile.
...and yes, just ask Xar anyway...

I like commenting on people's status!!!

The new layout seems much less cluttered to me. I like it!

New layout sucks but they will change back soon enough, facebook groups seem to influence a lot of things... for some reason.

I don't mind the new facebook. It doesn't crash my IE nearly as much as the old one did.

We hates it precious, we hates it! Nasty, mean elves with bright eyes makes it to torment us. Seriously, overnight Facebook morphed into an overcomplicated, confusing mess. I don't have time to manage it the way it is now. :(

Well, it's not that bad...

What I'm trying to say is that my addiction to Facebook -- or as I affectionately refer to it as, "the 'book" -- will not be broken by a mere facelift.

Reading these comments, I'm glad I'm not on Facebook. I barely even play with My Space anymore.

its always been a slow-loading, over-complicated mess if you ax me. urg.

It loads slowly for me, too, Lucimay.

I like the new facebook.

Also, I use faebook for a lot of organising events and stuff now. For me it is becoming something comparable to a mobile phones 10 years ago... once you get used to it you find it hard to imagine how you ever functioned without it.

I'm relatively new to Facebook. The new layout is a little confusing, but it's still not as bad as MySpace, which I could never quite figure out.

The other plus to Facebook is that I don't have to mute the computer. Browsing MySpace pages, you never know what tinny sounding music you'll be subjected to.

Agreed.

Speaking (or James speaking) of existing without things, my mum and her partner are getting rid of their home internet. As I said to Jenn the other day, that's like chucking out your phone in favour of telegrams. :?

Wow... I actually don't think I would have a social life without the Internet... it's just how me and all my friends arrange stuff.

If I lived with them I'd punch them both in the face. But I don't, so all is well. Except that I don't have net access either. Hmm.
