SO COOL!!!!! Ditto with what everyone else said, and thanks a million to Vain and Danlo for this great news. I'd also like to hang out with you guys...there is only one person in my city who has ever heard of TC, and he didn't like it (boo on him). So you all are the only ones I can talk to about it. By the way, how can I get The Gap Series? I can't even find it on the Web. Any suggestions?
Thanks again and be true.

OMG!!!!!!!
This is soooo fabulous! Thanks, Danlo, for the synopsis! And y'all are on a first-name basis with SRD now -- "Steve," he says. Wow. Too cool.
On another topic (and yes, I know this is the wrong thread)...I'm trying to figure out how to fund both a trip to London this Christmas *and* a trip to Albuquerque for Elohimfest. Non-refundable tickets to London, unfortunately.... Kind of a long drive from DC to Albuquerque (and believe me, I thought about doing it!). We'll see how things go.... I have a place to park my kids for E-fest weekend (former mother-in-law lives in Albuquerque, and I'm thinking she could use some quality time with the granddaughters!), but still we've gotta get there and that will cost some money. But jeez, the chance to meet SRD -- sorry, "Steve" -- in person...wow.... Going to Elohimfest would certainly made the wait for the first book in the new tetralogy easier to bear, huh?

On the footy thing Rugby League is footy in two states while Australian Rules is footy in the others. Soccer is just soccer. And Rugby Union is Rugby. American Football is referred to as grid-iron at times and yes soccer is the true football.
Confusing!!!!

Hehe strange how one can pick a typed 'accent' but you
sounded like an Aussie (or Kiwi perhaps) from your earlier posts ... wasn't game to ask in case I made a fool of myself.
You're quite right though. (Apart from soccer being the true football

)
But, anyway, fwoar, more books how grouse is that!

For people looking for a fantastic read while waiting for the Last Chronicles, let me suggest Bridge Of Birds by Barry Hughart from 1984. That book is my singular favorite of all time.
As for the Last Chronicles, this is what being a fan is all about. Few people ever get this excited over the written word, but those of us who do can sit back and grin, for we know what they're missing. Think about it...WE'RE GOING BACK TO THE LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the last chronicles will be jumping back and forth through time, I wonder if this means that Berek really is Covenant. That is, Covenant becomes Berek, which is a paradox in itself (which is probably why it will end up being the case?)

Nice, whorlpool, you never know!
So can someone estimate what actual date "late 2004" is, so that we can start an actual countdown and have a counter on this site.

*sigh*..well at last word, SRD was looking for a new publisher, he isn't happy with Del Rey. I think it's a very large range of dates actually "late 2004 or early 2005".
This wait is awful
