Thomas Covenant hated heights. The vertigo that attacked his mind when he was faced with even a mild elevation was so powerful it could steal away his equilibrium instantly and send him hurtling to the ground in a heap of quivering fear. In spite of his dread Covenant accepted the challenge that lay ahead of him. As the helicopter slowly let out more cable, Covenant drew ever closer to the damaged plane’s cockpit. The wind whipped past him as though it were trying to rip away the quick, shallow breaths he drew into his terrified lungs. Though the chopper pilot did everything in his power to keep the helicopter steady, Covenant was whipped from side to side in the turbulent air between the two craft. He cried out several times whenever a particularly violent jerk of the cable yanked him away from the relative safety of his target. He imagined what would happen to him if he were drawn into the maw of one of the 747’s massive engines.
Covenant concentrated on the gapping hole in the side of the plane. He could see the stewardess sitting in the pilot’s seat. Her eyes were wide with panic. She had taken control of the plane after the impact of the accident had sucked most of the crew out of the plane in a sudden blast of explosive decompression. She had done an admirable job keeping the huge airliner steady, but it would be impossible for her to land. The fate of over 200 passengers lay in the hope that Thomas Covenant would be able to survive long enough to climb in to the cockpit through the huge and jagged gash in the plane’s skin and then pilot the stricken airliner to safety.

If you use Charlton Heston to play TC, then you'd end up with.....Airport '75. Hellfire!!!

President Foul hovered above the flaming wreckage that had once been the capitol city of Washington D.C. with a fierce grin of triumph upon his pale bearded face. His conquest at the ballot box was immediately followed by a campaign of unbridled destruction that washed across the land like a tidal wave of malice and death. When the last mortal had been crushed under the weight of his irresistible might, Foul laughed to himself.
“I thought they would never elect a third party candidate but my well laid plans and limitless patience has finally brought to me my heart’s desire.”
His term fulfilled, President Foul congratulated himself on a job well done and moved on to his next challenge. To become the most celebrated sports radio host in Canada.

Third party candidate? Clearly Foul is running as a Democrat even as we speak....
