Juan is another flavour of milkshake :)

(I don't know who Juan is, either)

Tell california to get its act into order before I turn up in November.

Oh, and, nah, the bane is the Land. Is IS Is. :P

Juan Valdez came on the scene quite suddenly and posted some very funny posts. Unfortunately, some took offense, and uproar ensued. (Actually, I didn't read many of his posts, so they may have been much more offensive than I am aware.) I believe the original thread that Juan started has been long deleted.

However, I started a tribute thread to him back in May: kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1025&highlight=juan+valdez

He, or a reasonable facsimile thereof, posted recently, asking all to calm down in regards to what was then an emotion-filled topic. I remarked that it was a sad day when Juan is the voice of reason. CJ may not have even seen that post of mine, but he said a similar thing above.

Juan was a relatively tame presence .. he wrote in an outrageously unorthodox fashion and did the evil and oft condemned over-use of elipses thing .. lol

my personal fav of all his many attributes ;) ;) hehe .. LOL .. its a gift

At the Watch we are overpopulated with a diverse range of weirdos .. lol .. so he was just another one of us ;) LOL ..

I know you've been discussing this back and forth and the general consensus seems to be Drool. But what about the message TC is made to take to the Lords. Couldn't that be seen as a bane.?That the Land will survive 47 years.

LFB is better than Lord Fouls Servant isn't it? At once you get a paradox...

Ah, yes I forgot. Yes Furl, at Kent State University the have SRDs work unedited, for study and for research. I have read in an interview that that the first version of LFB was something like 750pgs and TIW was 900pgs. Then Lester del Rey told him to shorten it...

Alas, too far away for me. Can't anybody go there and read some...

Fist -- I was making reference to that very post of yours ;)

Juan is the most noble of us - his unique eloquence humbles us all...

I expect...

Seriously, Juan is good :D

OK OK OK- the stone. Sorry. I'm kinda tired now, it's late, should have read more carefully.

OK OK I get it now...
And there are banes buried in the deeps of the Earth too potent and terrible for any mortal to control. They would the universe a hell forever. But such a bane Drool seeks. He searches for the Illearth Stone. If he becomes it's master, there will be woe for low and high alike until Time itself falls
Still.. Drool acts on his own doesn't he?

I thought it likely. But in case you coincidentally had the same thought, I didn't want to take credit that wasn't mine. :)
