We did wrap up early but it was a ton of fun. Lots of laughter and silliness and faux arguments and teasing and tormenting one another. And hugging. There was lots of hugging. Oh and dAN... Jwaneeta is a good kisser.

Yeah, I guess I did. But I don't see her post often, and forgot she was a Watcher. 129 posts in two years? Heh. But yes. List edited.magickmaker17 wrote:*prods Fist* You've forgotten Ali's other daughter Batsutousai(at least, I think you've met her too...)! *grins*

I made it home alive. . . though I'm really bummed that I missed out on today.
Now for pictures. . .
Friday:

BGB with our Chinese food Friday night.

Sorus smiling.

Sea hugging Creator after he made her phone work.

The adorable Jwaneeta with her friend Julie.

Jenn caught unaware.

Dramatic shot of the southern gentleman DLB.
Saturday:

Candid shot.

The lovely Jenn.

The sweet Heatherly (she said she loved me since I made mac and cheese!)

Candid shot of Cov and Sea. As others said, Covjr is absolutely hilarious. And very tall.

The man. . . the firestarter himself!

Flaming bbq grills!

Well, Luci called me on their way to the airport to pick people up. But I didn't get to talk to anybody else.Menolly wrote:

I wasn't called...
But that's okay. All the really cool and swell people will be in Denver this coming weekend anyhow.

Seriously, it looks like you guys had a fantabulous time and I wish I'd been there! Next stop: Denver!

All these pictures of me smiling... going to ruin my reputation. Maybe that's a good thing. And I was sure I took that pin off my jacket.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?
Just back to my room, and I'm dog tired so the full synopsis of the day will have to wait for tomorrow. But briefly, I've had an outstanding weekend. I was absolutely overwhelmed by the beauty of San Francisco Bay today. Looking at the Golden Gate today, with the blue water reflecting the blue sky above - I was reminded of what the First said when she saw Revelstone - there were no words to describe it. I never thought this old mountain boy from Tennessee would ever see such things.
<yawn> Mornin' ya all. I'm hanging out in Damelon's room and me and Louise are off this afternoon on the road trip.
We've been having a blast! Had the best day yesterday doing tourist things and then went out to dinner with everyone (Dlb, Damelon, Creator, Lucimay, Romeo, Jenn, Cov J and me...did I forget anyone) at pier 39 (I think that was it) with a view of Alcatraz (how do you spell that?).
All is good.

You forgot BGB, and Romeo's charming friend Katie. You're rubbish.Seareach wrote:<yawn> Mornin' ya all. I'm hanging out in Damelon's room and me and Louise are off this afternoon on the road trip.

Well, today Jenn's working and various people have departed San Francisco, so I'm just idling at Jenn's apartment. Might go out for a wander around later. If nothing else, I need to buy some new hand luggage (I knackered mine during the flight) and I want to see if I can pick up a couple of DVDs/DS games because they're much cheaper in the US. Last night, Lucimay mentioned something about having lunch before she and Sea head off, but knowing what a typhoon of disorganisation Luci is, that may well not happen.

To answer this question: no, Fist still beats me. I'm working on it though.Chrysalis wrote:Sounds like you are all having a blast!
Glad you made it there ok Covjr - do you think after this fest you will have met more Watchers than anyone else now?

Ok, in a little while I'm going to head out to meet Damelon and Seareach to potter down to Circuit City (Damelon wants something from there). There's some suggestion that I might be having lunch with Sea and Luci (maybe Damelon too?) but Luci is apparently hiding right now, so no details are forthcoming.

It's been really good to meet people. It's astonishing to have such diverse types of people bound together by a shared interest. dlb is a funny, funny guy; Damelon is practically a Donaldsonian giant, with his perpetual good nature and booming laugh; Bloodguard Bob has been a saint, having us at his apartment and driving us around - and I could praise everyone else just as much, but my typing fingers are getting tired.
Speaking to absentees on the phone has been great too. I've chatted to Danlo, Fist, iQuestor and the woman to whom my bone belongs (shut it, you dirty buggers!), my bride to be, Waddley. She loves that bone just as much in reality as she seems to on the Watch.
