They have adopted a zero tolerance policy in several areas. One strike and you are out. Of course this can only be easily implemented in areas where things are black & white. Short of explicity showing genitalia and/or sex acts I suppose there is a gray area somewhere and thus room for argument. For the record the email that I was referencing was described as pretty clearly pr0n. While it did not involve two people lets just say it wasn't a typical portrait shot from JC Pennys.matrixman wrote:That seems harsh. Wouldn't a reprimand have been more appropriate? That comes from a fear of lawsuits. The penalty may be harsh, but they consider it a case of whose butt to protect.AjK wrote:They have adopted a zero tolerance policy in several areas.matrixman wrote:That seems harsh. That's my standard policy, too. I should never have given out my real name here; unfortunately, that can't be taken back.Avatar wrote: I only use user names. As far as I'm concerned, your name is what you introduce yourself by. Even though I know the real names of many of the watchers, I never ever use them, except when the real name is an abbreviation of the username.

Generally, no. Only if the person on the other line asks for confirmation of my name, and I make a point of asking why. Unless I'm in an irritated mood, in which case I'll curtly acknowledge my name, and I'll give the person a few seconds to justify my time on the phone before I hang up. Since I'm not a big phone user anyway, I tend to not be in a good mood when I get calls out of the blue.Anyway, I don't think it's serious...hell...you give out your name over the phone daily probably.
I'm still trying to figure out how people here learned my real name.....matrixman wrote:That's my standard policy, too. I should never have given out my real name here; unfortunately, that can't be taken back.
