I concur with Sky, being around almost as long and I am beginning to think post wars are (xcept in mayb 1 or 2 cases) ficticious. Some people are simply postaholics-there's treament available 4 that

# of post threads should be give a time limit-like 4 months or so--if they sink to the bottom of the forum-delete em--if not they'r harmless.
(actually I was thinking of just posting a single smilie here instead just 2 make Fist happy!

)

I often make posts with just a smiley.

certainly does.

which, though much shorter, clearly shows that I agree with what you just said about your posting?

i think the point is that we shouldnt focus on post quantity .. but rather each other as members for what we each bring .. regardless of how many posts are under our belt.
The threads recognizing someone's post count is ONE way some people recognize the contributions of other members to the board. I honestly don't see a problem with people giving each other compliments.

nothing wrong with compliments "not joan"
i think contributions to the board are made more via post quality than post quantity
