BTW, for those who don't know, my brother, a minister, performed my marriage ceremony in April. I had him read this:
Marriage. It's a hard term to define. Especially for me--I've ducked it like root canal. Still there's no denying the fact that marriage ranks right up there with birth and death as one of the three biggies in the human safari. It's the only one though that we'll celebrate with a conscious awareness. Very few of you remember your arrival and even fewer of you will attend your own funeral. You pick a society, any society, Zuni, Nudembo, Pennsylvania Dutch. What's the one thing they all have in common? Marriage. It's like a cultural hand-rail. It links folks to the past and guides them to the future. That's not all though. Marriage is the union of disparate elements. Male and female. Yin and yang. Proton and electron. What are we talking about here? Nothing less than the very tension that binds the universe. You see, when we look at marriage, people, we're looking at creation itself. "I am the sky," says the Hindu bridegroom to the bride. "You are the earth. We are sky and earth united…. You are my husband. You are my wife. My feet shall run because of you. My feet shall dance because of you. My heart shall beat because of you. My eyes see because of you. My mind think because of you, and I shall love because of you." Now are you guys cool with that?

I started the series again from the pilot. I didn't realize that Bernard and Adam entered the series in the first year. One of my favorite episodes (if I could even pick a favorite) is the one where no one can sleep. Bernard and Chris are in each others dreams and Joel encounters Adam for the first time.
Great episode!

Do you remember the episode where Ed has an affair with Light Feather, who is only excited by his flowery letters, which Chris writes for him (like Cyrano de Bergerac).

Just call me Light Feather, I love the WORDS! As light Feather say......"i need me some of them words!"

Wow, sorry I haven't been responding to your posts! Didn't realize I'd missed them.

:LOLS: Yeah, good one. What's Chris say at the end, when she tells him she gets turned on by the words, and doesn't care who wrote them? Something like "To each his own." And she says, "That's good! Write that down!"

Sorry you missed Moosefest. I'd like to one day, but don't know if it'll ever happen.

Fist, lorin, and any Watcher who is a Northern Exposure devotee should make the pilgrimage to Roslyn at some point. Come for Moosefest, or just come to see the town you already know so well as Cicely.

If/when you do, there are several Watchers in the Seattle area, about an hour away from Roslyn. I, for one, would welcome the chance to meet a fellow Watcher. Send a PM ahead of time and we can plan.

Hmmm... Well, since I actually know people there now... Hehe. Seriously, that's the biggest part of it. I've been to two Elohimfests in Alb. But it's not the books that got me there, it's the Watchers. I've never been part of a NX site. I assume there is one, or there wouldn't be Moosefests.

I didn't know there were DVDs. Just looked at Amazon and they are available so I may get one for our wedding anniversary present! It's over 20 years since I last saw it so I've forgotten a lot of the plots, but I remember the piano fling, and odd moments. Maurice was an ex-astronaut I think? Ruth Ann had the shop?
